  Note: "In the newer series, the mini LED model from LG is the 91T6A and not the 86T6A, 85T6, 80T6... You can also find a model from the 916 series on the market, which is from a year before, but it offers comparable quality as it is also mini LED."

  Regarding the QNED 866RE, it is a full array mini LED television with local dimming and an IPS panel. Very few televisions currently on the market have an IPS panel... The IPS panel provides excellent viewing angles, which most televisions unfortunately struggle with in this area.
  Also, due to the mini LEDs, the television delivers much better blacks than edge-lit and direct LED televisions in this price category. It is certainly not as deep black as what OLEDs or more expensive televisions like the Samsung QN90, QN95, Sony Bravia 9, X95L, etc., provide, but for its price category, the black performance is good.
  The television performs more or less as well as the Samsung Q80D, with the only difference being that the Samsung Q80D provides slightly better blacks due to the VA panel... however... however... the Samsung Q80D lags significantly in viewing angles because it does not have an IPS screen, and in some spaces, the television may create issues.

  The LG QNED866, since it is not OLED, does not run the risk of burn-in, meaning that the panel will not be damaged from prolonged viewing of static images, video game menus, subtitles, etc.
  Also, the full array mini LED technology that the QNED866 has is considered one of the most reliable technologies currently on the market... Additionally, in terms of reliability, the QNED866 has a metal back that helps with better cooling of the television.
  The television provides satisfactory performance in HDR with 500 nits brightness. Conventional televisions are at 230-250 nits.
  However, televisions like the Samsung QN90D reach 670-800 nits in HDR details... but the price goes very high.

  The picture on the QNED 866 is excellent for its price, with rich and vibrant colors thanks to the very powerful processor (for its price category) and the new technology IPS panel (in 65 and 75 inches), which also provides very good viewing angles.
  It will hardly envy the picture of OLEDs.
  You may see some black bleed and blooming in the subtitles, but it is much less than what you would have if the television were edge-lit or direct-lit... like the Samsung Q70, Q60D which are edge-lit.

  The only downsides are that the factory settings are not perfect, so there is a slight clipping in bright colors, something that can be adjusted. Ideally, some large chains offer calibration services for the device, which, unfortunately, for this specific model, is necessary.
  At https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/qned85, it details the specs of the television (in the American market, it is referred to as QNED 85 2023)....
  One last thing, the LG menu is a bit mysterious until you get used to it, however, the A7 processor in this specific television is quite good and does not lag.

  Also, be careful with the QNED 826 models, as well as the new QNED 80T, QNED 85T, QNED 86T models, which are not full array with mini LED like the 866, so even though they have relatively similar picture quality, they significantly lag in black performance, which may be bothersome while watching movies.

  Overall, for the price that the 866 asks, it is a reliable television, with quality image, very good viewing angle, good performance in HDR, "good black"... and it is a real value for money choice for those who want to avoid OLEDs and intend to use the television for long hours.

  Owner of this TV for about two months now (bought it from the well-known... "orange" chain of stores), I can say a few words about it.

  Its picture is amazing. It approaches OLED black levels to such an extent that it is hard for someone to notice the difference - and at the same time, it has greater brightness than a typical OLED and better performance in a bright room! Literally the fact that it competes with the quality of these TVs while being cheaper... makes it a tremendous value for money.

  The user menu is also very good. It provides the very useful function of automatically maintaining the image settings you want on all inputs - and this makes it extremely practical. Also, through the A.I feature, it is easy to adjust the image to each person's liking.

  In conclusion - a very good TV, 10 out of 10.

  If you want large inches (I'm talking about the 75" one) and you don't want to spend a lot of money for OLED, with image quality similar to OLED, this one is for you.
  I replaced an old TV at my parents' house and I was amazed by its image quality.
  Its black levels easily compare to the 65" OLED from 2021 that I have at home.
  The difference is really small.
  Its brightness is also exceptional. The sound is good.
  All the rest (menu, operating system, etc.) are usual. Don't pay attention. You enjoy the image every day.
  It is value for money.
  And a piece of advice. Always get your basic TV with a 5-year warranty.
  If you use it for many hours a day (12 and above), whatever it has to offer, it will offer it to you in the 5 years.

  Starting with the positives, the TV has a very good picture, exceptional sound, and good build quality. It's true that I had never seen a 40-kilogram TV before! It is very bright and has excellent viewing angles but with some backlight bleeding, which only becomes annoying inside the TV menu and around white subtitles on a black background. In movies, it looks overall very good and generally is not a serious issue. Where the TV is just disappointing is this unacceptable LG software, which unfortunately I am facing for the first time, without even knowing it could be so bad. Apps that do not exist for LG software, unacceptable miracast (I tried 4 different apps on my latest technology mobile phone that work perfectly on a 2018 Samsung), to the point where I can't watch a match because it plays choppy (airplay works perfectly) and of course a bad browser, without the ability to download and use another one. Unfortunately, I did not spend (much) more to get a Samsung or Sony with their excellent software. In an era where you can easily find excellent picture quality at low prices, it is unacceptable to have spent so much money, to have your hands tied without being able to take advantage of anything, and to think about buying an android box just to see the light of day. First and last time LG.

  Amazing television. The difference in black with OLED is small, but it still makes a difference. For someone looking for perfect black, go for OLED. However, it is very bright and in a place with a balcony door next to it, I have no problem. With OLED, I might have had a problem during the day. The sound is very good. It satisfied me. However, what impressed me is the build quality. The fact that it weighs 20 kilograms when others weigh 15, and I'm talking without the stand, means something. It has many aluminum parts and not plastic, which helps with temperatures due to multiple LED zones. At the price of 750 euros that it is currently playing and with such software, there is no need for consideration.

  I bought the 55-inch TV a week ago from a well-known chain of stores. Coming from a Sony Bravia, I initially had difficulty getting used to it and finding the right settings. Overall, my impressions were very positive when I opened the packaging and assembled it. It has a sturdy construction and is quite heavy, with the metal stand adding extra weight. I would advise against placing it on a very low piece of furniture. In my case, a height of 50 centimeters was fine, but I believe 60 centimeters would also work well.

  We use the TV for both movies and regular channels. The viewing angles are very good, and you mainly notice a difference in the image when looking at it from above. The brightness and peak performance are truly impressive. Even in the brightest room, it can easily stand out. The content in HDR and Dolby Vision videos and movies is elevated, with very good black levels and powerful, high-quality sound (40W). The picture quality is more than decent, even in the darkest scenes.

  I had some difficulty with the regular channels, as it took me a while to achieve an image that resembles my old TV and most other TVs we know.

  Initially, I disabled the energy-saving mode and all AI enhancements (professional image, etc.) in the Settings -> General -> AI Services. Then, in the Picture Mode settings, I chose the Expert (bright room) factory setting, and in the Advanced Settings, I made the following adjustments (you can make the same settings on any other mode):

  Brightness

  Panel Brightness 65, Contrast 90, Black Level 55, Gamma 2.2, Automatic Dynamic Contrast, Local Dimming LED, and Motion Eye Care disabled.

  Color

  Clarity
  ------------------
  Sharpness set to 20, and all other settings disabled.

  You can see the result in the photos. The image is essentially as it comes from the channels, with slightly more color. If someone wants even more clarity, they can enable Dynamic Contrast and Local Dimming. I would recommend using medium values, as high values can cause distortion or excessive brightness in regular channels, which is not an issue in 4K HDR content.

  I would also like to mention that the video was recorded using the factory Vivid color mode. The blooming effect that appears in some scenes is due to the camera used and does not exist in the TV's image.

  I hope the above information helps those who watch a lot of regular TV channels. It is a very powerful tool with high-quality image performance in videos, movies, and 4K series with HDR and Dolby Vision.

  Initially, the television had 2 small dents on the back as soon as it was opened from the packaging. I contacted LG and they sent a technician after 2 days, who stated that it's not a big deal. For a 1,000 euro television, of course. Apart from that, the quality is mediocre in standard operation, especially if you don't activate the local LED dimming, everything appears blue, and also some series and movies on HD channels are not properly upgraded and appear with many pixelations, meaning blurry. I should have bought an OLED, but I'm afraid of that damn burn-in. Overall, it's a mediocre television and overpriced for what it offers. Also, I want to clarify that the television is of Greek representation and was purchased from a well-known department store.

  Replaced an LG 4K LED from 2015. The usage is for gaming (PS5) and movies. The difference is night and day, to the point where I can't even watch a movie on the old one (it was moved to the bedroom). I was torn between this one and some LG OLED models. The reason I chose this one is purely because of the possibility of burn-in on OLEDs.

  The black is incredible. The TV offers the latest technologies (120Hz, VRR, HDR, Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision). The sound is equally good.

  So far, I haven't found any negatives.

  Honestly, the television is A M A Z I N G!!!
