- Internal use: Preventively, according to the 'old manuscript', we take every morning and evening, 1 teaspoon diluted with water.
- For any kind of discomfort, we can take 3 tablespoons diluted with water.
- For serious conditions, we take 2 to 3 tablespoons as follows: 1 tablespoon diluted in half a cup of herbal tea, half of it taken half an hour before and the other half half an hour after each meal.
- Compresses: Depending on the area, a piece of cotton or gauze is soaked with Schweden Bitter and applied to the affected area, which has previously been well covered with animal fat or calendula ointment.
- A somewhat larger piece of plastic wrap is placed on top, to avoid staining clothes.
- Then we wrap with a piece of cloth or use a bandage.
- The compress can stay on the area, depending on the illness, for 2 to 4 hours.
- If tolerated, the compress can remain all night.
- When removed, powder the skin with talc.
- If, nevertheless, individuals with sensitive skin experience irritation, the compresses should be used for a shorter period or omitted for a while.
- Individuals allergic to plastic should not use it.
- Never forget to moisturize the skin beforehand.
- If itching has already occurred, use calendula ointment.
- Attention: all the aforementioned quantities of Schweden Bitter must be taken diluted in herbal tea or water.
