It had a deviation of 9 tenths. I wonder, at the factory where they make them, do they not go through inspection or was the worker who checks them off that day?
I had a perfect Braun one which I will buy again, but since it broke and I needed one immediately, I got this from the pharmacy, pure failure with incorrect measurements, long wait to show the reading, and in the meantime, while I've been using it for a week, it suddenly makes a strange noise as if it's broken...
Although I already had several electronic devices that do not measure accurately, I bought it because my friend said it makes precise measurements that are checked with a mercury thermometer. Unfortunately, it does not work properly for me. It has a large deviation and I do not risk using it.
Well, I bought this thermometer from a pharmacy in my neighborhood and no one ever told me that it continues to measure the temperature even after making that noise. Every time I measured the temperature, it showed 35°C and I thought, this can't be right, I must be doing something wrong. I want to conclude that it is good to always look at the instructions for whatever we buy, especially when it comes to medical equipment
The thermometer is fine. Surely everyone who comments negatively takes it out in a minute and a half as advertised. However, part of the instructions states that "for more accurate measurement from the armpit, you should increase the measurement time to 5 minutes."
I have two different thermometers that are "criticized" for incorrect measurements, while they simply do not have the patience to wait for the 5 minutes. Both of them always show just fine to me.
The need that I personally want it to cover for me is not to have the fear of breaking the mercury and even if it loses 0.1 degrees in some measurement and even if I wait five minutes.
If someone's need is to have an accurate measurement in a minute and a half and does not want to wait, it is better to look for something else as this specific product cannot provide it. However, the measurement is correct in five minutes.
A short story about this thermometer, my relative gave it to me opened so I don't know if it had any leaflet that specifies how it works. The pharmacy from which it was purchased told us to leave it longer after it beeps because it continues to rise, another pharmacy that sells the same thermometer said that this doesn't make sense and obviously it will keep rising as long as it stays because it probably doesn't know anything about thermodynamics.
So empirically, first make sure you have reached the deepest point of the armpit because obviously it has low sensitivity and you may have a large deviation. From the indication it will show when it beeps and afterwards you may have a deviation of up to one degree, keep it and monitor the temperature, when it starts to stabilize, like staying at the same temperature for a minute or more, you know you are somewhere there.
I won't say it doesn't work, but I will say that this is literally the agony of the parent who anxiously beats their heart to see how much fever their child has in order to know what to do, 5 minutes with the thermometer in hand and irregularities, unacceptable for me.
Unacceptable. There are no words. For a child to have a fever and say it's 35.8 when I used a mercury thermometer and it was 38.6. What a waste!!! The photo refers to a comparison after measuring simultaneously on the same person! The rest of the comments are up to you!
I never comment, but I really got upset and thought I should inform the world. I have bought 2 of the same. No accuracy in the measurements, the worst thing ever. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. It shows you have a fever and shows 35. I wonder why pharmacies continue to sell them - probably for profit. Truly the worst thing I have ever bought
More useless than useless, as it completely frustrated me with incorrect measurements and the sound that couldn't be heard. I broke it by throwing it against the wall and calmed down. Imagine, I had a temperature of 37 degrees and it was showing me that I had a fever of only 35 degrees. I will never again see the Hartmann brand and I will disappear
Measured correctly the first 2 times I used it and then it was not reliable at all. We bought the same one again and it still showed incorrect measurements. I do not recommend it!
