Marsilea hirsuta is a carpet plant from Australia, with leaves that resemble four-leaf clovers. After a transitional period, it develops different types of leaves, capable of forming a low-growing form or lobed leaves. The height of the leaves varies from 2 to 10 cm, depending on the growing conditions. Whichever form the plant adopts, it produces runners and spreads quickly around the aquarium.
