At the price it can be found as a used item in recent years, it is a fantastic choice. Compact although not lightweight, it has a nice feel in use and excellent writing for faces that, however, are not allowed to be featured in the review here. On newer bodies, e.g., X-T4, the af-s performs well even at f/1.2 and is generally an interesting option for street photography as well.

Excellent lens for portraits - sharp, fast with beautiful overall rendering, although I expected better bokeh from it, not that it lacks, but compared to the Samyang 85mm f/1.4 and the Nikkor 105mm f/2.5, the XF56mm comes in third. The price was and still is steep, and now that the 90mm is out, purchasing this lens becomes more difficult. If this focal length suits you, one thing is for sure, it will not disappoint you!
