Reviews
Coming from a regular three-quarter macna, I have to say the following positives about this one: the length was ideal for me, as I am 1.78m tall and weigh 85kg. I have tried and tested all brands, both more expensive and cheaper, but this one was the perfect length for a NC motorcycle. It stops exactly at the height where it bends, so the thigh is not too long to bend when getting on a motorcycle, nor too short for the air to pass behind your back in front of your stomach. And this is what I like about it.
To summarize the positives, it has many pockets, especially the side ones that are at the height of the hands, which have zippers that close very well, and the front part has buttons. It has two pockets on the chest, one of them is obviously anatomical for putting something high with a zipper that is discreet but also has inner compartments at chest height when the jacket is closed. It indeed has many pockets. Now, the zippers, the main zipper is difficult, and this intrigued me from the beginning. It is difficult to zip up and down. I don't know if applying silicone or similar oily substances would make it easier, but it seems thick and of good quality, although difficult to zip up and down.
The protections are first level, and that is also why it feels strange and due to the price. It has elbow and shoulder protections, but not on the back. It costs about 40 € extra. The inner lining seems thin so far, at 10°C it doesn't let anything through, but it has a strange coating for rain. The jacket intrigued me from the beginning, and that's why I bought it. It doesn't have waterproofing only on the seams, but the entire jacket is waterproof, made from the inside and looks like the clothes and pants of delivery drivers, which are like raincoats. I haven't tested it in heavy rain as I always have a simple raincoat that I put on top of the jacket to prevent it from getting dirty from mud and oil on the roads. However, I will try it and come back to see how waterproof it is.
What bothered me and bothers me every time I take it off and put it on is that the inner lining is not attached to the outer part of the jacket, so every time you take off the jacket, you need to hold the sleeve with your other hand so as not to pull out the entire lining. It seemed very cheaply made to me, considering this small thing. Even jackets from Jumbo have some kind of snap or Velcro to hold the inner lining, but this one doesn't have any. It is of good quality except for the zipper. It also has buttons on the outside so that the cold doesn't pass through. The collar goes up and has a magnetic hook to close it at the top, but if you wear a balaclava or make a sudden movement, because it is not a button but magnetic, it comes off and then you have it hitting your helmet throughout the journey. It has not lost its shape, it has not been exposed to rain, and I haven't worn it in extreme cold yet. I will come back and write in detail about these main things. It is discreet and doesn't look like a motorcycle jacket. And if it didn't have that crooked pocket in the front, it would definitely look like a good civilian jacket.
