Very serious shoe, well-made and more beautiful than the photos. Very good grip on the sole, it doesn't slip on descents, nor on wet rocks, and it hooks well on ascents. Of course, it's not for beginner trail running because it has a wide heel and a flat sole like a track shoe, which requires good reflexes and grip on missteps. The waterproofing is very satisfactory, but it does retain sweat and moisture from the foot, as the Gore-Tex doesn't help with breathability. The size seems half a size narrower to me. It pinched me on the first day at the toe box, that's why the 4 stars. It only bothers me while walking, not while running, a strange thing.

Unlike the Cascadia 16, they are harder and tighter. They need to be broken in.
I can't say that I was impressed...
