I am very satisfied with this product. I will speak for myself since not all supplements work the same for all of us. It did exactly what I wanted, to raise the D to a level and then maintain it with fewer units. It worked and I saw tangible results both in my mood and functions. I will definitely take it in the future, if needed!
Last autumn, my 69-year-old father, who has some classic minor health issues, was found to have a severe deficiency of vitamin D at just 12 ng/ml during his routine blood tests. After looking into it a bit more, I realized how important this vitamin (essentially a hormone) is for the human body. I started giving him another supplement with 5000iu for 3 months (around November to February, right in the middle of winter), which is still quite a bit above the recommended daily dose because I was a bit afraid to give him a larger pill. We did blood tests, and the vitamin had only slightly increased to 15 ng/ml.
I looked a little deeper and found that the body can relatively easily handle large doses, just for safety in combination with vitamin K to ensure that the calcium (which D helps absorb) goes to the tissues and bones where it should, and not into the circulatory system to create other problems. So, I gave him this supplement with 120 capsules for 4 months (one a day), and we did tests at the end of June; the D had reached 40 ng/ml!!! Perhaps it played a role that he was taking it as we were moving into spring and summer, but still, I believe that this particular one has very good absorption! Every body is, of course, different, so supplements do not work the same for everyone, and naturally, other factors also play a role.
Our experience, and according to what I have read, is that for someone with a severe deficiency, they should not be afraid to take a large dose because it is safe for a specific period and under certain conditions, and of course, always with the confirmation of our doctor! This particular supplement seems to do what it promises; personally, I recommend it without reservation!
Excellent product, it does exactly what it promises in a natural way. It does not burden the stomach, raises the vitamin levels in the body, and indeed has fully protected me so much that this winter I had no hint of illness.
Don't forget two basic things. Vitamin D is fat-soluble, so take it with food, and that you build up your D reserves over time. So you need to take it for weeks until a reserve is created in the body, and then of course maintain it.
There are definitely better and higher quality ones on the market, but I chose this particular one simply because I needed a dose of vitamin D after exams and considering my exposure to the sun. Exams after 2 months, taking 2-3 a week, all good.
A company whose products deliver what they promise. I am completely satisfied with this company and with hematological tests, as well as the fact that it chooses reliable companies with registered patents and trademarks for the substances it uses, such as minerals from Albion Minerals, floraGLO lutein, and the list goes on
I started taking this specific vitamin because my doctor recommended it. They are easy to swallow, do not smell bad, and finally the price is very competitive. I recommend it!
It helps relatively quickly in increasing vitamin levels in the body. I recommend them because of the quantity of D-3 (5K) per capsule and the price. There were no side effects, neither for me nor for other people I recommended it to. They are very small soft capsules, someone who has difficulty with pills can consume them.
In 2 months from 30 it went to 63, of course always with K2 at 200 mcg daily intake! Not every 3 days! since I have Hashimoto's and ulcerative colitis! It has helped tremendously!! And don't listen to nonsense about small doses up to 4000 IU and that at 30-35 ng/ml you are just fine! If you want health always, you should be at 60-80! The body produces 20,000 IU on its own with 15 minutes in the sun during the summer! So don't be afraid of mega doses! Look into it! :)
My doctor, Alexandros Vassaras (follow him on fb), who talks about immunization, says that the healthy range for D3 is 80 to 150!!! The limits set by the microbiological standards according to WHO are for the organism to be sick!! Check out what he says on his profile. Also, for better absorption of D3, when the D3 level exceeds 40, you need K2 MK7, which helps in better absorption of D3!!
Basically, it requires: D3 10,000 iu, 1 pill per day after a meal (because it is a fat-soluble vitamin).
If the D3 level exceeds 40, for better absorption of D3, you need vitamin K2 MK7, one week per month (1 pill per day for 7 consecutive days). Please.
Guys!!! It's amazing!! The first test showed a 9. They gave me some other 2000 IU vitamin D that I was taking for 6 months and all it did was raise it to 15! Well, I took these, I took one every day for 3 months after a meal, as it needs fat to be better absorbed, and it went up to 110!! The limit to see results is 60. Obviously, now I will take smaller UI for maintenance. Take it with closed eyes. And it's economical, as with 17 euros you get 120 capsules. I was taking one every day, so for 3 months (90 capsules). The instructions say one every 3 days, so it will last you for a verrrry long time!
I downloaded 5000 units for 15 days and 10000 units for the next 15 days and my D3 increased from 22 to 42! Very satisfied. Now that I reached the sufficiency limits, I will return to 5000/day to continue increasing at a slower rate (toxicity limit: 150ng)
I combine it with NOW's K2 and the result justifies the purchase! Due to my job, I don't get much sunlight during most hours of the day, so my vitamin D levels have been very low in recent years. With this supplement, my levels returned to normal!
Small round capsules, they are very helpful for those who spend a lot of time indoors (offices, homes, storage spaces, due to work or for a long period during autumn-winter without exposure to light). The discovery of vitamin D-3 deficiency was accidental, for the control of the thyroid (recommendation-check by an endocrinologist). Taking the vitamin for three months. No further evaluation of the results of taking the vitamin was done. The dosage (1,000 IU) was determined by the doctor. Without any concern or other comment. I highly recommend it (due to trust in the company).
