The drone by DJI can be used for activities such as landscape filming. It features a 48 MegaPixel camera for taking photos and can shoot videos with a maximum resolution of 4K 60fps true HDR. It includes a controller for operation and is compatible with smartphones and tablets. Its maximum range reaches 10 kilometers and can fly up to 46 minutes.
Dual Main Camera System
The Air 3 features the first dual primary camera system in the Air series, incorporating a 1/1.3-inch CMOS wide-angle camera and a 1/1.3-inch CMOS 3x medium telephoto camera into a sleek and compact body. Both cameras have the same sensor size but different focal lengths, providing consistent image quality and more dynamic imaging capabilities.
48MP Dual Camera Photos
Both cameras are capable of delivering 48MP photos full of true details that look great and allow seamless cropping in place for those who need it.
HDR Video with Dual 4K/60fps Camera
The two 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensors of the Air 3 support dual native ISO for direct output of 4K/60 fps HDR video without cropping. This means that footage from any camera can be filled with rich colors and natural lighting transitions for breathtaking and highly accurate results.
Extended flight, innovative charging
The Air 3 offers up to 46 minutes of flight time, a 48% increase compared to the previous generation. This provides ample time for exploration, adjusting compositions, and capturing what you want, all during a single flight.
The new battery charging hub supports an innovative power transfer function. Simply press and hold the power button to transfer the remaining power from multiple batteries to the battery with the highest remaining power, giving you a more fully charged battery in situations where charging options are limited.
Omnidirectional obstacle detection
An omnidirectional detection system allows for comprehensive environmental awareness, enabling the Air 3 to detect obstacles in all directions. When obstacles are detected, the Air 3 can use APAS 5.0 to perform smoother avoidance maneuvers for a safer overall flight experience. Even complete beginners can now fly with confidence and execute creative ideas with enhanced safety.
O4 HD Video Transmission
The next-generation O4 HD video transmission system enhances the Air 3 with dramatically improved transmission performance. It provides a maximum range of 20 kilometers with increased stability, as well as a live feed of 1080p/60fps maximum quality to ensure exceptionally smooth viewing and operation.
Advanced RTH
During Smart RTH, the Air 3 will automatically design an optimized flight path for Advanced RTH, while maintaining omnidirectional obstacle sensing to return to its home point quickly and safely.
FocusTrack
FocusTrack keeps you or your subject easily in the center of the frame. The medium telephoto 3x camera unlocks a unique sense of spatial compression when highlighting subjects. This updated tracking performance combined with omnidirectional obstacle sensing allows you to capture intelligent, well-designed shots whenever and wherever you need them.
QuickShots
QuickShots enhance the Air 3 with creative camera movement options such as Rocket, Dronie, Circle, Helix, Boomerang, and Asteroid.
Vertical Shooting 2.7K
The Air 3 supports vertical shooting in 2.7K with both cameras, giving vertical shots an extremely dynamic look when capturing landscapes or subjects. Two 4:3 ratio CMOS sensors provide ample space for vertical crops that maintain 2.7K resolution and are optimized for smartphone viewing. This means that images are ready to share on social media without requiring cropping when posting.
MasterShots
MasterShots allows the Air 3 to automatically perform various camera movements, capturing multiple clips and editing them with music, cuts, and effects for quick and simplified cinematic footage.
More features, expanded creativity
Choose from four options, including Free, Circle, Course Lock, and Waypoint to capture timelapse footage up to 4K horizontally or 2.7K vertically.
LightCut App
Connect to the Air 3 wirelessly via the LightCut app on your smartphone for expanded creative options, such as One-Tap Edit. There's no need to download all the material during the process, which helps save storage space on your mobile device.
Waypoint Flight
For the first time, the Waypoint Flight feature is now available in the Air series. Plan flight routes and shooting actions for the Air 3 in advance to achieve difficult camera movements and stunning shots. You can also save flight routes to repeat the same movement accurately at a later time or date, opening the door to long-duration timelapse shots that capture transitions such as day to night or season to season.
Can I Fly the Drone Normally Without Any Special Permit?
Yes, provided that the weight of the drone is below 250g and the maximum flight height is at most 120 meters from the ground. In any case, try to minimize the time during which you fly over people. Finally, you should take into account the areas where drones are not allowed to fly (e.g., military camps, city centers, or near airports or areas with an ongoing emergency response situation). For more details, you can get information for each drone category from the relevant regulatory authority, which is the Civil Aviation Authority.

From the first generation Dji Mini, I upgraded to the top-notch Air 3!
I was torn between the Air 3 and the Mini 4 Pro.
There is no comparison and it is wrong that in many YouTube videos and forum discussions, they compare these two drones. The Air 3 is far superior and has incredible capabilities. If you see them up close, one looks like a toy and the other like a professional machine. If you can afford the price of the Air 3, don't hesitate!
Huge battery life (40 minutes+), stability (it weighs about 700 grams and doesn't get affected by the wind), amazing resolution and great quality in photos and videos.
Personally, I preferred the Combo package with the controller with the built-in screen (DJI RC 2). The controller alone makes a huge difference and completely changes the flying experience!
CAUTION: Due to the high resolution, you will definitely need a very fast micro SD card. After research, I concluded that the (in my opinion) best card based on price (~ € 35.00) and capabilities is the Sandisk Extreme Pro micro SDXC 256GB U3 V30 A2 UHS-I, which has a write speed of 140 MB/s and read speed of 200 MB/s. The card is also available in 32GB, 64GB, 512GB, and 1TB. Ideally, even though the Air 3 can read up to 512GB, do not exceed 256GB. Under no circumstances make the mistake of using a card with low speeds that does not have specifications for 4k videos. If you do, the drone will record to its internal memory, which is only sufficient for a few short duration videos and a few photos.
TIP: Get licenses A1, A2, and A3, something you must do anyway to have peace of mind. The cost of the license is now around € 50.00 and the registration fee at the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority is € 20.00.
Simply the best for its price, I have no words. The cameras are enchanting with their quality and the 10-bit video makes a difference compared to its predecessor, the Air 2. The only thing you should keep in mind is to make sure to equip it with a very fast memory card when you get it. Find a class 10 U3 v30 A1 at least
Awesome drone in all aspects. Its video is much superior to the air2s despite having a smaller sensor. Its photos are of very high quality. It would be good to also purchase its nd filters. The 3x takes its shots to another level. Unfortunately, there is no charger in the package and the batteries take quite a long time to charge with a regular charger!
Very good as a drone but DJI overdid it. The controller is very plasticky and even more plasticky is the wheel for camera control. The worst part though is that it doesn't even come with a charger in the package. Only a type-c cable. So you have to charge the battery on the drone with a charger for mobile phones, for example, which takes a long time to charge, and the controller with another cable (type-c) from a mobile phone charger (if you don't have another one) which also takes a long time to charge. It's like forcing you to buy a separate charger from DJI.
