The 580 is one of the most distinctive models in New Balance's history, not only because of its bulky, Rollbar-equipped design for trails. Initially a regional adaptation of the 585, the 580 started to catch attention as an accessory on the streets of Harajuku that showed trend. When it served as a canvas for some of the first collaborative releases, the 580 became legendary.
The recent reissue of the 580 brings an icon back to life. The updated look with the lowered collar height is combined with construction that comes as close as possible to recreating one-to-one the materials and features of the OG.
