Excellent lens for all uses.
The 75mm (equivalent to full frame) is limiting for indoor shooting/photography, but it provides an amazing dynamic range with plenty of bokeh.
The A6xxx series also has color aberrations with the monitors and EVF that do not help the situation. However, with an external monitor, you have a complete view of what you are capturing.
In newer Sony series, color reproduction is easier, but with the A6300 that we usually work with, it is difficult to achieve a specific aesthetic. In other words, it requires a lot of processing in Photoshop.
Now, if you also deal with log, you might achieve something better after many tests and in different environments, whether for photography or video (contrasts, shadows, natural colors, etc.).
It works exceptionally well for video on the Sony NEX VG30, with fast autofocus without any issues like in mirrorless cameras. (Clear image zoom also works perfectly)
Its stabilization is very good on all cameras it is attached to.
Overall, it requires attention because it is an affordable lens that, however, does not leave the camera, and the kit becomes a decoration in the office or on a shelf somewhere.
If you have any Sony crop camera, this lens is a must-have because it also has a stabilizer unlike the full frame 50mm. It is a pretty good lens for its price, slightly lower in quality compared to the full frame.
I have the SEL50F18 for about 2 years with the Sony NEX-VG10.
It is a very good and bright lens for portraits and night shots (photos & videos).
Very good clarity, color accuracy, focusing requires a little attention in photos with maximum aperture F1.8.
Lightweight and relatively small in size, good build quality.
