Patchouli Essential Oil - Essential oil Patchouli (Pogostemom cablin Herb Oil)
INCI Name: Pogostemon cablin oil

The essential oil of patchouli is obtained from the plant Pogostemom cablin through the steam distillation process. The color and aroma of the oil depend on the flowers that are used during extraction.

Uses and benefits:

• Used in Ancient India as a raw material in products that were considered aphrodisiacs.
• Creates a mood of relaxation and is thought to be effective against anxiety.
• Used as a raw material in products applied to the skin, regenerating the tissues.
• Has insect-repellent properties.

Safe use: Do not apply essential oils directly to the body. Use a carrier oil such as almond oil or jojoba oil, in a ratio of 10ml (carrier oil) to 5 drops of essential oil.

All essential oils are irritating to the skin. Should be avoided by pregnant women and children under 5 years old. Individuals with heart conditions and hypertension should use with caution and medical advice. Avoid sun exposure when using citrus essential oils for 12 hours, as they can cause irritation and photosensitivity.
