DOES NOT EXIST. The best I ever had. With a pentel 0.9 I finished polytechnic in '93. Since then I bought 2 more of the same. The last one was run over by a car. So I tried this one in 0.7. Incredible quality. I don't know about durability but it looks excellent after 3 months.
Whatever you say about this pencil, it's not enough! It is designed for writing and everyday use and resembles a Pilot pen in its design, like the Pilot e95s, which is the top pen for daily carry and use!
It is the only mechanical pencil that has a cap to protect its already super sturdy tip! Don't forget to snap the cap on tightly for the button to work!
In the luxury category, mechanical pencils are very expensive. This one is not only affordable but also by far the best, at least in terms of performance, writing accuracy, practicality, comfort, etc.
P.S. 1: The Pentel Ain stein tips are even better for writing, in 2B hardness, it writes quite dark, legible letters. If you use 0.5mm tips, do not extend the tip more than 2 clicks out, if you don't want it to break. In 0.7mm and 3 clicks, it handles it comfortably, but I prefer 0.5mm for its accuracy (I make slightly prettier letters). If you write large letters and apply a lot of pressure while writing, then 0.7mm might be better for you.
2: For writing and EDC, the Pentel Graphgear 500 for drawing and the P205 or Twist Erase III for school are the best pencils! As known, generally, Pentel is the best mechanical pencil brand in the world. All the Rotring pencils I have sit and collect dust in the pencil cases unused. Pentel is the Toyota, good as the Mercedes (Faber Castell), good as the Porsche, but the car you drive all the time is the Toyota! You can also call the Kerry a Lexus!
