Suitable for 2-4 players, ages 8+.
In this new board game, each player has twelve tiles with various shapes, as well as a board with a shape. By rolling the dice, everyone tries to create the shape on their board within the allotted time using specific tiles each time. The first to succeed moves their pawn, collecting as many gems as possible. It is a fast-paced and addictive board game, with easy rules that can be learned in 5 minutes.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
Excellent and very simple. Rolls very smoothly and provides a lot of fun. Just right for younger ages...
It is also suitable for younger children. We played during the holidays with 2 adults, a 12-year-old child, and a 5-year-old child. We all liked it very much! Very nice board game. The child can also play alone. One of our best purchases!!!
It can be played by children aged 3 years and I speak from experience. There has been good research on the game regarding the tiles and the various formations they offer. However, the rules for selecting amber or emerald or other gemstones could be different in terms of being a speed and/or strategy game rather than ending up being a game of chance.
Now, as far as the quality is concerned, it is simply tragic. The older version had cardboard cards. The new version has paper cards which, if nothing else, wear out easily as shown in the picture. In no way does it justify the 25€ it costs. Also, the huge box with the 6 compartments, which are separated by poor quality cardboard, is in no way justified and obviously with a simple movement, the pieces have become tangled among themselves.
Pleasant and fast game, with very simple rules. Suitable for all ages, even for children under 8 years old (we play it with 5-year-old children).
It helps a lot in developing critical thinking, fine motor skills, and puzzle-solving abilities.
There are enough cards so that players cannot easily learn the puzzles, and the two difficulty levels offer alternatives for beginners and advanced players.
The random selection of a "stone" from the bag at the end of each round makes the game more interesting as the final score can be overturned.
The game pieces are beautiful and of high quality. Especially the dice, which instead of numbers have different designs, is a very nice touch.
The only thing that concerns me is that the paper of the puzzle cards is thinner than the pieces (which are made of cardboard), which is logical in order to fit so many, but if someone is not careful, they can get damaged or torn.
Even if you're not crazy about board games, you will definitely play with this for a long time and many times. I highly recommend it to everyone!!!
Excellent game. Simple and easy rules keep you entertained for hours while being very enjoyable. Perhaps the best one I have tried.
It's worth every euro.
It may be the best board game we have ever bought.
Even our 5-year-old participates.
5 stars.
And for us parents, very enjoyable!
It's not at all "childish". Very clever game
The ubongo is one of the simplest and easiest board games that can be played by someone who plays many types of board games or someone who plays very few board games.
It can be learned in 1-2 minutes literally, and you can play several rounds since you can finish a round in a short amount of time.
A positive aspect is that it can be played solo, a negative aspect for me would be that I would like it to be able to be played with more players, for example up to 6 players, not just up to 4 players.
Very good and addictive game. Suitable for all ages. If you set your phone's timer instead of the hourglass.
Very fast game, relatively easy and not so entertaining. It is a good solution for those who do not want to play for 1 hour continuously like some other board games.
My daughter is 8 years old and we have spent many afternoons with the company of this game! I highly recommend it.
Excellent game for a group of friends. It requires quick thinking and can be played with variations that eliminate the element of chance.
Amazing and very entertaining game for both children and adults. Winning the game is partly a matter of luck, apart from solving the puzzle with the corresponding pieces in time, you also need to collect the stones with the highest points. So even those who struggle with puzzles have a chance to win if they are lucky. It exercises the mind a lot.
My 84-year-old mother plays with my 8-year-old son...., what else can I say, it's more than just a board game, it sharpens the minds of the little ones.
It is a very nice game that requires concentration, enhances observation skills, and stimulates the mind! I bought it for 24 euros and it was worth the money, as it has very good quality! It is a game that allows you to enjoy your time and can be played alone as well. I would recommend it
It is our favorite game!! We play it parents with children and the fun is incredible!!! Also, it is very useful from the perspective of education and skills development such as observation, logic, and activation of visual-motor mechanisms
Nice and enjoyable game to pass the time. It has a small strategic element in choosing which diamonds to pick, but that's about it. The rest is just a matter of how the shape fits and solving it immediately, otherwise you might not find it at all.
For a family, it's perfect for spending a relaxed afternoon. Overall, it's great. 4 stars!
Perfect gift for children aged 7 to 10 with many different combinations so that it has depth and you don't get bored with it.
A glance at the game's manual and it becomes apparent the creators' desperate attempt to find 2-3 rules to justify calling it a game, a simple competition of "I solved my tetris-puzzle first".
You can call it a puzzle. You can't call it a board game. It's not even strategic, because the idea is drowned in laughter.
It might make sense for children. You can have them play with the colorful gems and learn colors. Or they can learn the path the gems will follow if they swallow them. Simply tragic.
