This is simply an indelible marker in an RAL color to match specific materials and constructions. Don't expect miracles, it won't cover scratches and dents, it's neither a stock nor a magic wand. But for example, a strong scratch on an aluminum frame will adequately hide it so that it doesn't show except upon close inspection.

It can be removed with very strong chemicals/cleaners, but in typical household applications, I doubt it will ever need to be reapplied.
