The size is normal. They don't hurt the foot. (I wear 42 and 2/3, I got size 43 and they are comfortable). Soft and warm on the inside. The foot doesn't sweat. They look like hiking boots in appearance and in the hardness of the sole, but they don't tire you at all. They are not waterproof.
