Very good purchase of a kettle.
We have had it for 2 years and it hasn't had any issues, with daily use.
The limescale it collects is easily cleaned with vinegar.
Without using it much, the switch broke, meaning it no longer automatically turns off when the water boils. Bad, but at least it still works, I do not recommend it.
It was purchased a year ago, broke and was replaced with a new one through Scroutz without any charge. Over time, it catches salts which are relatively easy to clean. If the new one lasts longer, I will add another star
Beautiful kettle. Fast, user-friendly, lightweight, and economical.
Regarding limescale, it would be good to empty the kettle when we finish our work. A quick rinse afterwards helps. Greece is known for its hard water. So, we will see limescale in both expensive and cheap kettles.
It is a product that is good to mediocre. For the materials and construction, it could be more economical. I have had it for several years, it hasn't had any issues, but I would like something better. It doesn't heat up the water very quickly, it easily collects salt, so I often clean it with vinegar, and when I pour the water, it runs from the side.
I have changed several kettles that in about a year started to leak water from the bottom.
I have had this one for 5 years and it is like new, it has not had the slightest problem.
With frequent cleaning with vinegar to remove the limescale.
Maybe it's due to the construction because water runs or drops when I try to empty it (especially in the cooking pot). It makes a little more noise but it doesn't easily collect salt.
Now that we have been using it for a while and it has collected salt, I noticed that the design of the spout makes the situation even worse. It is at the same height as the lid, so when we have enough water to pour, it passes through the lid with salt (since the filter is only in the spout) and the salt falls into the pot... practically, the filter becomes useless because the water passes through the lid. So the only solution is to pour it very slowly and carefully... I see it going to waste.
Before I start, I want to say that I am comparing it to a similarly priced princess kettle that I have in the office, not something three times more expensive.
First of all, the spout is problematic. I assume it is a design flaw, but I have never been able to pour water without it running down the side and making everything wet, whether it's a little water for coffee or a lot of water in a pot. Water always runs, no matter how I hold it or turn it.
The other negative thing is that it makes a lot of noise when boiling water, you can hear it in the next room as if it's right next to you.
Apart from that, of course, it does its job and that's why it gets 2 stars, but if I can't pour water without it running everywhere, what am I supposed to do with this kettle? How can I give it a better rating? Yes, I admit it's nice-looking, but...
I don't know how there can be such conflicting opinions about the same product!
I have no problem with this specific kettle. It is definitely worth the money and more. The water boils quickly and there have been no signs of limescale. I make sure to dry it well after each use before closing the lid. And every three months, I do a good cleaning with vinegar, on my own, without any issues appearing.
I bought it in December and I am very dissatisfied. Besides constantly leaving salt, today I noticed that it also leaves black marks that I hadn't noticed before throughout the interior. I wiped it with a tissue and it removed a lot of color. I wonder what I've been drinking all this time... I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Very cheap and dangerous construction.
It may not catch salt and may not burn the "body", but it doesn't boil quickly (slowly, compared to a 20-year-old Philips that I still have) and most importantly, it smells from the first day and constantly molds! I added vinegar, left the water for 1 day in case it takes away the smell, added baking soda, for 3 months now that I am forced to use it in another house, no matter what I put in the boiled water - coffee, tea, and anything else - the smell of mold covers everything!!!
Very high-quality kettle. Fast with a washable sieve water filter.
I chose it because I already have another Singer one that still works perfectly.
