It is a mediocre coffee maker that, if you find the coffee that suits you, you can have a good coffee at home.
Despite that, it does not make good foam (almost none, you have to hold the cup at an angle to make a little).
The nozzle does not make froth.
It also heats up very easily, so you cannot make more than 3 coffees in a row (especially if you want to use the nozzle).
The noise it makes did not bother me.
I found it strange that there was no brush in the packaging for cleaning it.
It broke after almost 22 months of daily use (1-2 coffees/day), but within 12 days I received a refund as it could not be repaired!
Too much noise to the point where I'm afraid it might break again.... It's the second device that comes to me brand new in the box! The first one left us hanging from the first minute. It didn't even manage to make a single coffee.
At least the second one works. It has pressure, heats up quickly, and makes good coffee.
However, the noise is like a broken compressor combined with an electric vacuum cleaner. It doesn't bother me much during the day, but in the morning around 06:00, especially in the summer with open windows, I feel like the neighbors don't need an alarm clock... Everyone knows when I make my coffee...
I had it for 6 years with full use and I am completely satisfied! It broke due to our own fault, salt, poor maintenance at the end of its "life". With a quick read of the comments, I now understand that either people don't know how to use the devices they buy, or they don't pay attention to the instructions, which in my opinion are the Alpha and Omega for every device. If you do what you're supposed to, you will drink quality coffee, as much as possible from a household coffee machine. And the nozzle is also great, even for heating water for other drinks, tea, etc., but it also needs good cleaning. I highly recommend it and I am considering buying it again
I have had it for three years and it is one of the best coffee makers I have bought. It is fast and makes very good frothy milk. What else could you want from a coffee maker? For this price, I definitely recommend it
I will comment on two negatives that I never expected to find in a coffee maker: the water container gets stuck and requires force to remove. Because the top part of the container is quite sharp, if you're not careful, you can cut your fingers. Also, the edge of the water tube is aligned (!) with the power cord that goes into the machine, causing water droplets to fall directly onto the cord. It hasn't caused me any problems, but I always pay attention when removing the water container.
For the money, the coffee is quite decent. The downside is the nozzle, which is simply decorative and will never be useful for anything, and the noise it makes! I've had it for almost a year and it hasn't presented any problems. It's a good purchase for an economical machine!.... I'm coming back 3 years after the purchase and I have to say that with daily use, it hasn't had the slightest issue
I don't know what's happening with these specific machines, but generally they have issues. I bought this particular machine for Christmas 2020 and it worked for exactly one week... And then it stopped working, it wouldn't turn on... Due to the warranty, it was immediately replaced with a new one... However, the second one didn't last either, after exactly 3 days it wouldn't turn on at all...
The machine for its price is excellent. I bought it for 70 euros on Black Friday (November 2020) and I use it EVERY DAY. Nothing has broken and it makes very good coffee for its price. Its milk frother is quite good. It is important to maintain it properly, meaning cleaning the filter every 2 months with a tablet or liquid and regularly washing all the parts.
Also, since it is a semi-automatic machine, you need to find the right time for the coffee you drink. For example, I leave the espresso coffee I get from Coffee Island for 31 seconds with a timer. Also, always either before the coffee function or before the nozzle function, you should let it heat up until the corresponding light turns red.
I hope I helped you!!
P.S.: It is a machine of a cheap category and I consider it value for money, so I don't have high expectations in terms of taste, meaning I wouldn't take it to a coffee competition.
P.S.2: I don't have experience with the dealership as it is flawless for now.
I bought it used 3 years ago in Belgium for 20 euros and it has been working continuously since then... Sometimes the group gets stuck when too much coffee is put in, and if you leave the filter basket empty and the pump takes in air, it takes a long time to draw water... Apart from these minor issues... it's wonderful... if you have good whole bean coffee and a mini grinder, you can save a lot compared to buying coffee outside
After 3 years of operation, I have to say that the machine makes very good coffee depending on the blend, in my opinion always bottled water, I use 17 grams of coffee, in 19 seconds from pressing it produces coffee like the one in the market with all the flavors. If it heats up well, it makes frothy milk. Also, easy to clean. I highly recommend it.
As a coffee maker, it is good but the dealership does nothing, it has been broken for 3 months and I took it to a representative in Heraklion, Crete and it is still there because they simply fool me... They are unacceptable and from the company because I didn't get any resolution with them either! So stay away because if something happens, you won't see it again.
I have had the coffee maker for about 2 months but I still can't enjoy a decent cup of coffee. In order to say that the coffee is drinkable, you first have to wait 4-5 minutes for it to heat up. Okay. Then, when you start pouring the coffee, you have to stop the flow in order for the light to turn on again and try again. Only with this trick can I manage to drink somewhat mediocre coffee. The other torture? It takes your soul to remove the handle from the latch, and after 3-4 failed attempts, you might succeed. Forget about frothed milk, only with your mixer. The only positive thing is the design...
I use it daily 4-5 times for the past 3 years, so overall I am satisfied. I give it a 3/5 rating because since I got it, it has the issue that the filter you put the coffee in gets stuck on top of the coffee maker when you remove the handle. So after you remove it, you have to turn the handle upside down to remove the plastic part, then put the handle back on the coffee maker and make some left-right movements to detach the filter. Because I use it often, I have figured out the trick and manage to do it. However, for those who try to make coffee and don't know the trick, it is impossible for them to detach the filter that is stuck inside the machine, and they give up cursing.
Don't buy this product!!! Words are unnecessary with the service (everything is automated, whatever). Consumables are a waste. The inner handle grip that holds the filter wears out quickly (barely lasts six months). The price of this is 35€ without shipping...
Very good result in coffee, easy to handle. Beautiful design. The only observation is the relatively long time it takes to heat up satisfactorily. Very good value for money, in fact, the coffee it makes is excellent for its price!
I have it now for 8 months. It continues to give me decent coffee with the appropriate crema. You can perceive the low price from the first use, but it is what you need when you know what you are asking for from the espresso machine you have. It gives a nice retro impression due to its design. Finally, it has not caused any damage to the pump or anywhere else.
The design and the quality of the coffee and milk froth are great. However, it is incredibly inconvenient to remove the group from the closure as the coffee sticks to it. One trick is to immediately switch to the milk froth after extraction and carefully remove it once the light turns on. The build quality is average for the price of €109. Another trick is to not press the coffee too much and, of course, not to buy pre-packaged coffee from the supermarket but freshly ground coffee from a coffee shop. Finally, I suspect that the machine I received was not brand new and had been used a little.
I expected it to be better. Recently, I bought two espresso machines, one for home and one for the office, namely an Ariete Cafe Retro and a Saeco Poemia, which cost the same amount of money. The Poemia makes better coffee (office), but the Ariete is more stylish (home). However, the coffee it produces is not bad and it's worth the money. I don't have an opinion on the milk frother because I never use it.
I have had this specific espresso machine for about 2 years now and I can confidently say that it is value for money. It has an analog thermometer which shows the actual temperature after measurements I made with a digital thermometer, very good pressure, and very good espresso quality. The steam wand is very good although it takes a while to froth milk for cappuccino, but once it's done after 2-3 minutes, it is very good in temperature with a good creamy texture. It is aesthetically beautiful and very easy to clean for good functionality!
Unfortunately, I was not satisfied!!! I happened to come across a very good offer on this specific product and I decided to choose it!!! I liked it visually from the beginning, but I was also looking at other options because they had good reviews both domestically and internationally. I was lucky enough to get it for 69 euros with free shipping at the time I was searching, and as soon as I saw the price in my email, I proceeded with the purchase. The beauty of it initially motivated me because I wanted something different and stylish, and I wasn't expecting the best machine (although I am inexperienced with coffee). The first one I received started leaking water from the portafilter when the temperature reached around 60 degrees, and after contacting the store, it was sent back because it was within the 14-day immediate replacement period (with free shipping). The necessary inspection was done and another machine was sent as soon as we received the approval from the technical department. I received the second machine and the problem initially was visual!! The temperature indicator it has (measuring instrument) started at around -20 degrees Celsius, which resulted in it not working properly and being unappealing. Starting the test, I had the same problem again, it was leaking water while it was increasing the temperature. We had contact with the store again and it was sent back (with free shipping). After 2 unfortunate incidents and proper communication from both sides.... knowing my rights as a consumer (important), I did not accept an immediate replacement and I am waiting for a refund from the store. Stylish, not very bulky, but that's about it! Personally, I am not a barista and I don't expect it to make coffee like in coffee shops. I just expect something decent based on the right good-quality coffee and proper maintenance. These incidents may be coincidental, but they may not be!!!
I have bought it for 1.5 years now. Out of this one and a half year, it was only at my house for 2 months, maximum 3. The first one I bought had a faulty group head that didn't fit well. I sent it back and after 2 months, I received a new one. I was relieved, but the joy didn't last. The new one had the exact same problem, the group head didn't fit properly, resulting in it being stuck with the coffee. I sent it back to the service center since it had a 2-year warranty. After six months of anxiety without coffee, and after more than 100 phone calls and great difficulty in getting any response, the faulty part was finally replaced, which, as they said, came from Italy for my sake. I was finally happy that I could drink coffee with this otherwise beautiful coffee machine. My joy lasted for a week, as the pump stopped drawing water. I sent the coffee machine back to the dealership again. I have sent it since August 2015 and I am still waiting. I have given up on my money. Even now, as we speak, I still don't have the espresso machine and the month is November 17, 2015
I have been using the espresso machine for about 1 month. It is very reliable, fast, with a good frother and a nice coffee body. If you know how to use the nozzle, you can make a very good frothy milk. I give it 5 stars because I have no complaints. I haven't used pods yet, only ground coffee, and it comes out wonderful. (If someone can't make good frothy milk with the nozzle, because if you don't know, you won't make frothy milk even on a professional machine, there is an easier way. So you froth the milk with 1.5% fat with an ice cube in the blender, just like for cold frothy milk, once it doubles, remove the ice cube, heat it on the stove, and it's ready. It comes out better than frothy milk made on a professional machine. Be careful not to burn the milk!)
Negative:
Foam milk cannot be made at all. It doesn't even heat the milk. The filter for two servings of espresso simultaneously does not take the necessary dosage of ground coffee for two servings of espresso. Additionally, the build quality could be better.
One year and about 150 coffees later, we have: on the positive side, it is value for money, very elegant and user-friendly, and accepts capsules or ground coffee. On the negative side, the "weak" steam requires magic to produce proper frothed milk, it does not have a dosage selection, and you have to manually shut off the water, and it has plastic parts where the coffee flows. Overall, it is a very reliable solution, but not for the "coffee connoisseurs"!! * Also, you will need to purchase a tamper because the one it comes with is nooooot good.
