3 stars because like all coolers with plastic feet that attach to the motherboard, they are annoying to install... otherwise, it keeps the temperature low and doesn't bother your ears, convenient in size

Did you find this review helpful?So I bought it from a member along with the cooler and the Q9505 processor, both used pieces. It was installed in a socket 755, replacing a Q8200 for more power in order to give the system some extra boost. I have to say the following. I wasn't satisfied as the temperature in idle state shows 55 degrees and under stress it reaches 68 degrees max. I should note that I applied MX4 paste, which is of good quality and I have been using it for several years. Also, I want to emphasize that both products are used, so I don't know what usage was done by their previous owner. In conclusion, I would recommend buying another product as from what I know, it is very likely that this product is not suitable for 95-watt processors. I hope I helped someone here, thank you.

Did you find this review helpful?I just received it and installed it. It cost 10.9 euros and has a two-year warranty. It fit perfectly on a motherboard with a 775 socket and the quad-core Q6600. I struggled a bit to get it properly attached (yes, those damn plastic pins have caused a lot of trouble and are the reason I changed the original Intel cooler - they are not sold separately like they are abroad, so if even one breaks, you have to replace the whole cooler).
The CoolerMaster X DReam i117 comes with factory thermal paste, but I added a bit of powertech paste. I didn't see any difference in temperature or noise compared to the old (15-year-old) cooler, which had copper at the contact point (I tested it with the same paste) and I kept it clean. *Noises in the old one may be due to dust and dirt. In a room with a temperature of 18~20 degrees, the processor temperature reaches from 30 to 45 degrees while browsing-youtube-video in mkv format.
Edit: One week later, I see a temperature of 25.Note that it has a 3-pin connection to the motherboard and operates at maximum speed (so on older motherboards, there is no option for adjustment like there would be with a 4-pin connector, which the old coolers had). The manufacturer states that it operates at 1800 revolutions per minute +-10%. In my case, the speed is 2000~2057, the same as with the old cooler, which I didn't change the initial settings of.

Compared to the stock cooler, the noise is very low and the temperature has dropped by about 10 degrees (although the PC is only used for office work).
The installation is quite easy, although it requires some attention when attaching it so that the plastic parts that secure it do not bend. You can use a screwdriver for convenience and follow the instructions. It includes thermal paste on the cooler, so for a beginner, nothing extra will be needed.

VERY good cooling for its price (actually ~10 degrees lower and around 60 degrees in gaming during summer).
For a budget option, it is very good, the only drawback is that the noise, although low in volume, is at a high frequency and takes a bit of getting used to, especially if you are coming from a different cooler.

Did you find this review helpful?I have this cooler on an i7 since 2013, when it was released. The PC has been running non-stop for 5 years and I clean it with air every 3 months. The cooler has not had the slightest problem, the temperatures are typical like with Intel on the same CPU, but the difference is in the noise, which is still almost non-existent today, probably really at 19db. At the price of 10€ that it has dropped to (I bought it for 20€ back then), it is the best! Unfortunately, here in the comments I see several complaints that have nothing to do with the performance and longevity of mine. I hope the quality has not dropped...

With the Q6600, from 72 degrees full load for 10 minutes with this one, I went down to 47. A pretty good replacement, and more beautiful. Did you find this review helpful?On the i3 6100 that I tested, with normal usage, without games and heavy applications, it maintains a stable temperature at 29 degrees, but the noise bothered me, as it consistently worked at around 2000 RPM.
I connected it to the system fan of the motherboard instead of the CPU fan, and now the RPM can be adjusted (0 to 2000).
