It is my third ereader, the second one from Amazon, so I have a relative opinion on the matter. The first one was Sony, by far the best, until after 10 years of use, the screen fell and broke. Compared to the previous kindle (not paperwhite), which is 7 years old and still works but needs to be charged every 3 days, it has a clearly larger and more comfortable screen, it is much faster, and its battery lasts about 2-3 weeks (I use it daily for several hours). It is also water resistant, which has been convenient for me as I occasionally use it with wet hands. Additionally, the lighting, which becomes warmer - and you can adjust it as you like - gives a much better sense of a physical book. The speed difference compared to the previous kindle is noticeable, and the presentation of the books is much better.
Unfortunately, I have noticed that it 'freezes' and occasionally restarts on its own more often than the old one I had. Especially the freezes (when I press to go to the next page and it does nothing) are quite frequent and have started from the first month of purchase. Finally, its screen is less anti-glare than the previous 2, which means that when you are directly under a lamp - or when the sunlight hits it vertically - you cannot read:( This is the biggest issue for me, that you have to consider if you will be able to use it outside with sunlight. However, I would buy it again, as the free books provided by Amazon alone make it a value for money option in ereaders, even with the issues it has.

Purchased for 136 euros without advertisements, including shipping and delivery to my door. Also the owner of the Paperwhite Generation 10. Advantages: large screen, a significant difference compared to the 6" Kindles, which greatly helps with reading scanned PDFs. Warm light adjustment, perfect for nighttime reading. Endless battery life, although this is common in all readers, it lasts even longer here and finally with a Type-C cable. The regular mobi format doesn't offer anything special that any Kindle 6" can't do, but in PDFs, one will notice the difference. Overall, it is much faster than previous models, loses a bit in portability but clearly gains in all other aspects. Upgrading is worth it, but I would also recommend it as a first purchase Kindle.

It was purchased from a well-known multinational that starts with A and means a river, from the French site for around 130 euros (125 without shipping offer). At this price, I consider it worth it and not from the overpriced Greek market, where the previous model has the same price as the one abroad. Generally, search in all branches in Europe (England, Germany, etc.) and choose the cheapest.
Being my first ebook reader, I am satisfied with both the screen size (6.8 inches), which I would say is sufficient for comfortable reading and portability, and the battery life. The screen is anti-glare and has a night mode function with a dark reading background, a blue light filter for a more yellowish screen, as well as adjustable brightness, size, and font type. It is important to mention that the screen does not have colors and is exclusively a mimicry of a book page.
As for the features, I particularly liked the ability to take notes, highlight, and look up a word in the dictionary or search it on the internet (as well as to test the words you were curious about to check if you learned them!). The capacity is quite large, and you can also add audiobooks if you want. Additionally, I would like to add that it also has text-to-speech reading when connected to a Bluetooth device.
