It's a bit difficult to connect to the mobile, but after some searching on the internet, I managed to do it. As for the band, it's good quality, convenient clasp, and a long-lasting battery. There is a deviation in the measurements, as on certain 5-kilometer routes, the band records about 5,200 meters. I don't consider it a significant problem; the overall impression is very positive.
With light use:
- I have no notifications for calls/messages, nor for the weather
- One or two exercise recordings a week, 1.5-2 hours total
- 24-hour heart rate monitoring
- 24-hour oxygen saturation monitoring
- Sleep tracking
... I forget where I have the charger (last charge lasted almost 10 days)
Light and comfortable. Good accuracy in its measurements, turn off the app's access to physical activity so it doesn't count steps twice. Many faces.
Very annoying that when it's in Do Not Disturb mode, it doesn't turn off the Rise To Wake and the screen lights up at night as soon as you move (the Honor Band 5 I had did this, this one doesn't...)
Excellent! Stopwatch, countdown timer, alarm clock..! It organizes you completely! And of course, basic health and exercise features. The battery needs to be recharged more frequently than the Band 6 I had before I lost it... I wonder why???
For the money, it is excellent. I haven't dealt with the measurements, I only have it for notifications from my phone and to see the time. Very convenient that you can reject calls.
The only thing that bothers me is that it doesn't allow me to choose continuous heart rate monitoring but only has one option that automatically adjusts the frequency of measurements based on activity status. When I connect the much older Honor Band 5, it shows me the option for continuous monitoring. The Huawei Band 8 measures the heart rate every 5, 8, 10 minutes or more and not continuously, resulting in an incorrect average heart rate over 24 hours and missing the fluctuations in heart rate. Does this happen to all of you, or do I have some software issue? This lack has completely disappointed me
The battery after 6 months of use lasts 1 week. Sometimes my watch reddened the hand on the top of the wrist. Overall, it is beautiful and for the money, it is just fine...
Throwing away money....during the summer months it showed a warning of overheating and turned off by itself.....it was replaced by the dealership and it is giving me the same problem again....I hope to get a refund
Easy to use, convenient, connects without any problem with android of different brand. Great battery life, more than a week, but I haven't activated call-message notifications, I only use it as a watch-fitband. Possibly the battery may last less with full activation of services. I didn't find anything negative. I haven't used it in a pool/sea
It is the first time I switched camps from xiaomi mi band, I don't know if I got used to this specific ui too much over the years but it still seems a little strange to me. Mainly in some points that I will mention. Except for the Google exaggerations that do not allow you to install the application from measurements, it seems more reliable than the mi band 6 I had before this and maybe less uncomfortable on the wrist. I just can't say I'm crazy about it, the strap is classic like in all wearables I have had in recent years, usually saying goodbye around the 6-month mark as well. Disappointment with the watch faces (there are no third-party apps to have more), and I get a feeling that something is missing from the application. The screen is decent, visible in the sun.
Overall, it is value for money. Just on an Android phone that is not Huawei, there is a small process to connect it correctly and make everything work. Of course, Huawei knows this and tries to do what it can to help the situation. For example, you no longer need to download the entire app gallery but you can just download the Huawei Health apk. Also, if someone has a Samsung, they can find it in the Galaxy Store, so they will save some steps. If someone has Xiaomi, there is a small process to activate notifications. Overall, however, it works fine and has accuracy in measurements, overall in all functions, slightly above 80%. I believe it is fine for its price ~ 45€.
I bought it mainly for swimming training. It is remarkable that it automatically recognizes swimming styles.
Additionally, in the comment made by another colleague praising the Youtuber "The Quantified Scientist" (which helped me make the purchase), I would like to mention that the Huawei Health app seamlessly connects and collaborates with the iPhone Health app, something I was looking for and wanted to exist. It can both write data (e.g. heart rate) to Health and read data (e.g. floor climbing) from the iPhone, all consolidated within the Huawei app.
For the rest, I need to conduct further tests, but the preliminary conclusions so far are very good (with some doubts about sleep tracking). However, I would recommend watching the analysis by Youtuber "The Quantified Scientist," who approaches the measurements more scientifically and objectively.
City very good ... I was satisfied, I use it at the gym and for running and walking, I like the city, it has a good screen.
It is an ultra-lightweight bracelet-watch. It is quite small as it is a band. It has excellent vibration intensity and so far it doesn't seem to have any differences from the previous GT2 watch I had in its measurements. Very beautiful and durable. It doesn't have a particularly readable screen, but you can't have comfort and a large size at the same time.
After 3 weeks of use, I can add that: Its battery is state of the art. 7-10 days with Bluetooth permanently on and recording all data.
Also, compared to the previous Huawei GT2 watch I had, it shows that I cover a greater distance when running. Unfortunately, I don't know the exact distance of the route I run, but the distance from 2 kilometers is now recorded as 2.2 kilometers.
Materials of exceptional quality, image of very high quality! The design and thickness of the watch are among the thinnest and lightest on the market! All measurements are quite accurate! Bright beautiful design. Many features. The application is easy to install on your phone. Also, connecting the watch is very easy! The only thing I would add is the automatic brightness of the screen.
Very beautiful appearance-wise.. comfortable and with a secure grip on the hand.. However, I find its measurements very inaccurate, maybe it doesn't detect pulses well. While I have done a pretty good workout with aerobic and weights and have increased my heart rate, the watch doesn't capture them and shows a very small number of burned calories. I tried the same program with another fitness watch and the difference was huge...
