The Panasonic RF-2400D radio achieves simple tuning and better reception. The automatic frequency control (AFC) function extends the range of AM radio reception and simplifies tuning. It eliminates the need for precise tuning accuracy by automatically selecting the nearest station. Noise is also reduced during tuning to improve listening comfort.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
Powerful speaker and good construction. Large font that makes it easier for older users and has the ability to work with a battery or directly with the power supply.
Good radio but for nearby strong stations. For stations with weak signals (due to distance) it may not perform well, possibly due to its tuning method (AFC). For this purpose, we should go for a higher category of radios!!!
Pros: quality & sound intensity, good reception, works with electricity, appearance, sufficient weight (does not fall when blowing...), large letters, handle & very good price
Cons: requires many batteries (4) but this is a minor issue, the product is a star
It's worth every euro of the 27€ I paid. Quite affordable for what it offers.
Excellent reception, very decent sound.
When the power cable is connected, it doesn't play with batteries. I think there is no better choice in this category.
The speaker lacks quality but sounds loud with emphasis on the midrange, mediocre treble, and zero bass. I replaced it with a higher quality speaker and the sound was elevated. It is sensitive but in combination with the AFC, it does not tune the stations well. In strong stations, it seems like they have harmonics, and if there is a weak station between two strong ones, you forget about it. The sound potentiometer is not ergonomic, as it is placed inside. It has overall good construction, strong sound, and for its price, it is good. It would earn points if it had an aux input. And I changed the button that turns the stations.
Attention to detail, while the sound is very clear and good and powerful, it emphasizes the voices a little more than the music, possibly all radios of the same type are like that, I do not know for sure, everything else for me is flawless.
Very bad Tuner.... no comparison to the analog one that we old radio amateurs know. It has a bad digital lock, resulting in missing half of the stations that don't have a good signal. I don't think anyone here who gave it 5 stars knows what an analog tuner is and how a radio station should be positioned on the FM band. Stay away!! Those who are inexperienced think that there are 20 stations broadcasting on the band, while in reality there are 40!
The tuning is approximate and it locks on its own. It's ridiculous... harmonics are full next to the station and overall it has absolutely no resemblance to an analog tuner.
Don't be fooled, it has a bad digital receiver that operates analogously
Analog and that says it all. Not digital and various tricks. Radio like in the old days.
The chassis is very strong and the sound is amazing.
Very easy tuning.
Perfect for the price of 30€ that I got it! I don't think you will find something equally good until 40€...
The best signal from a radio that I've had in the last 40 years! And in terms of clarity and sound intensity, you will only understand if you get it. Truly incredible...
I bought it for my grandfather as a gift, and it is definitely worth the money and more. The construction is durable plastic with a quality weight. The sound is clear, even at high volumes, and the reception is very good. Now, we will see how long it will last in my grandfather's hands, as he will have it on for 24 hours
4 stars because it doesn't have stereo sound but it is a very good radio. Good build quality and very clear sound. It's worth it. Time will tell how long it will last. Overall, I recommend it for purchase.
I have had several radios from China, of course they cannot be compared to this one. Firstly, I have had this radio for 1 year and 2 months and it works perfectly, while the others would last a maximum of 8 months. 2) Its signal is very good, I can even listen to several stations from Evia and Athens. The batteries last, but it depends on how each person handles it. Personally, during the summer with almost daily use, they lasted 2 months, and during the winter with less frequent use, they lasted 5.5 months.
I bought it for work!
Very good radio with a nice retro design, very good sound and very good signal!! I am very satisfied
I bought it today based on the many good reviews.
It has excellent signal, it is user-friendly and easy to carry.
It takes batteries if you want, in addition to the power cable.
I live in the southern suburbs and the area generally has poor signal. However, it picks up everything clearly on almost all frequencies.
I would definitely recommend it!!
I've had it for one day, I don't know if it's durable. But the first impression... sturdy and amazing receiver
Radio with all the meaning of the word!!
For anyone who wants a radio with amazing reception, clear sound, easy handling, and very good quality, there is no need to look for anything else!!
Its sound is monophonic but crystal clear!!
The volume is more than enough for a radio, you can easily have a party with it.... for anyone who wants a radio and not something more, I think it is the only choice!!
Quality machine, with excellent performance and crystal-clear sound. The linear and "velvety" feel of the volume control is worth every penny. It is no coincidence that it is currently among the top ten portable radios worldwide. With a purchase cost of approximately 25 euros, it's a no-brainer.
Perfect signal, very strong sound intensity, user-friendly switches, etc. With the white rechargeable AA batteries from IKEA, it lasts up to 20 days, 8 hours, on low volume (which means a month of use, basically...)
At 24 euros that I bought it, it is an excellent choice. Its speaker is very good but not stereo. It has a very clear sound. Its use in Athens as well as in the countryside is without any problem with the stations. It locks the stations very well. Rarely does it produce interference. Its output is monophonic for headphones, it could be stereo. Its volume is like a 7-inch tablet. The quality of the plastics is average but not bad. One positive thing is that it operates with both electricity and batteries (4 AA) and the cable is included in the package and it is quite long. I would definitely buy it again. In a comparative test on YouTube, it performed better in station reception than the Sony ICF-506, which costs about 45 euros. At this price, it is a one-way street for me.
A very good radio for its price, with simple and easy operation, without unnecessary features since it is a classic analog type, its main advantage is the very good reception even in difficult areas. It has a large readable dial, powerful clear sound, and can be powered by battery or electricity. Another great advantage is in the AM band, which reaches up to 1710kHz, something that radio amateurs will appreciate. As for the negatives, I would mention the volume potentiometer, which is a very simple rotary one, although it does not have any issues in its functioning, it is placed in a somewhat awkward position. Also, the headphone jack is monophonic, so both headphones cannot be used at the same time, which I consider its biggest drawback.
Very good. Nice sound, good signal, easy handling. Choice for power or batteries. Worth its money.
Well done to PANASONIC. A product that is meticulously designed in every detail, from a reputable manufacturer, designed to satisfy without compromises. It states 0.75 watts rms but sounds like 3 watts rms. In summary, it is worth having it next to you. Additionally, this radio makes (digital) ones at least unnecessary and annoying. Of course, it is also technologically redesigned. It consumes very little battery power (4 AA batteries) and delivers maximum decibels. It automatically locks onto the station. Tonally, it focuses on the mid-range. With headphones, it satisfactorily covers the sound spectrum (only the left side) and is generally quiet. It is also a LEADER product in sales and globally accepted.
Very good radio for the money you buy it. Its reception is quite good both in the FM band and in the medium wave band. The sound is quite loud. The only disadvantage is the tuning, especially when dealing with a weak signal. The advantage is that it goes up to 1730 in the medium wave. I would highly recommend it.
Excellent radio for its price. Very high-quality and sturdy construction (Panasonic, of course), with large and precise buttons that make operation easy, a large screen for channels and tuning needle, and a very good handle for transportation. The sound is clear, powerful for a small radio, and high-quality without distortions. It takes 4 AAA batteries, which seem to last quite a while. I used alkaline batteries and they still last after a month of almost daily use for 1-2 hours. Something that I particularly liked is the smooth tuning of the channels, which doesn't abruptly lose signal with the slightest turn of the tuning knob like many Chinese radios do.
Very good in quality and the sound is powerful and quite clear, and most importantly it catches stations that older radios couldn't catch.
I bought it for my father, it is ideal for elderly people who want easy handling without digital complications that are a mountain for them.
It is indeed very good, only that when you move it, it loses a bit of signal and you have to reconfigure it.
One of the best radios I have bought. Incredibly clear sound. Combines digital sound with analog design. I liked it so much that I bought it for my grandma too.
Powerful speaker, easy tuning, satisfactory size.
What can I say... I am a simple user, I found the speaker powerful, the handling easy, without much fuss. I can read the dial without glasses since it is quite big, and the size of the device satisfies me visually, as it is not pocket-sized, meaning it is not meant to be carried permanently in a bag, but it is lightweight.
As for the batteries, I have used rechargeable ones, they last for 4-5 days with 5-6 hours of use at medium to low volume.
In the end, it is a simple and good radio.
For its price (I bought it for 20.02 euros), it is really good in everything! The only thing that seems cheap and somewhat inconvenient is the AM-FM and ON-OFF selector
A lot of fuss over nothing, okay it's a very good radio with quality plastics and good signal reception, but it doesn't have a screen to see the station you're listening to, it doesn't have a USB port, and it's also relatively bulky for a portable radio. For this money, there are countless options that I would recommend getting. Unfortunately, I fell for the very good reviews.
It is not a coincidence that it is a best seller. The sound is crystal clear, the signal is perfect. It is worth every penny until the last cent.
