  I have had it for a few months now.. generally satisfied BUT.. for some reason on messenger it keeps reconnecting after the screen is locked.. meaning it disconnects.. I don't know what the issue is.. also.. many times when I take a photo it doesn't save.. or it might take a while.. The biggest downside though is that I noticed moisture inside the camera lenses.. The phone is supposedly waterproof.. the only contact it had with water was when I happened to wash it under the tap.. since it is supposed to be waterproof for one meter of water for half an hour according to the certification it has..
  Edit 10/11/24... The phone had connectivity issues.. it disconnects from wifi. also in the apps especially messenger it keeps reconnecting.. I am starting to get disappointed
  Edit 21/11/24.. Its battery is disappointing... it drops at ridiculous rates, I don't know if it's normal and it's like this as a phone or if mine has an issue..

  After one week of use, the device is beautiful, it has a wonderful and bright screen with very nice colors, you can easily see it under sunlight and with sunglasses. The camera has many parameters that you can adjust to take the photo as you want it, I am satisfied with the automatic mode, the shots are clear, detailed, and with nice colors, the night shots are of incredible quality in low light. The operating system is pure Android without additional applications, with some very useful functions and gestures from Motorola. During the week that I have been using it, it has received several software updates until it reached the latest one, as the device has been on the market for a year now. It also received the upgrade to Android 14. The battery, with continuous use of the device, lasts for more than a day and charges in half an hour. I am very satisfied and I hope to enjoy it and keep it for many years.

  Decent phone that offers many features from much more expensive flagships without being a flagship though. The only mediocre thing is its battery, but it depends on usage and installed apps. Under heavy use (video, games, music player, movies), it only lasts one day. However, it has a turbo charger and wireless charging that works very satisfactorily and avoids wear and tear of the usb c port (the reason I changed from my previous phone). It has a luxury look and it has some IP68 protection, but its glass is not that resilient as on other phones and not crash-worthy. Photos and videos are decent enough, but if you are looking for something extraordinary you won't find it here. All in all what you get is a well built phone, with snappy performance and very good attributes at an extremely good price. It's an honest deal and I recommend it.

  Guys, this phone is the best thing out there for up to €400. It's truly amazing, it never lags, it's waterproof, it has wireless charging, takes great photos, has beautiful colors, and an amazing display. It also has a very powerful speaker. I am extremely satisfied. Not to mention the design, it's simply gorgeous. It charges with supercharge 68W and goes from 0 to 100% in 35 minutes. I truly have no words for this phone. The only downside is that it doesn't come with a screen protector, but with a wallet case, you're good to go... Moto Edge 40 with closed eyes

  Quite a good choice in this category. The battery lasts all day, but not with any crazy usage like gaming. The camera is quite average. The main reason I bought it was for the Ready For feature, but unfortunately, as soon as I tried it, I realized that it only works wirelessly (via wifi) on a standalone screen, which is essentially completely useless. With such lag, it's impossible to do desktop work. Finally, the fact that it is pure Android has its advantages, but Motorola has missed the mark by not integrating at least some application for photos. However, in the three months that I have been using it, it has not crashed anywhere.

  Positives: Amazing Amoled screen (visible easily in sunlight) up to 144 Hz and if you like the curve on the edges (edge) left right it is indeed very nice the touch and feel when your fingers pass over it. The edges light up when you have notifications and you can choose the color. The chassis has amazing metal and the buttons are very beautiful with a nice feel. The Viva Magenta color is S T U N N I N G giving a great aesthetic presence as a premium mobile with a very nice touch in the Vegan Leather back and a very discreetly beautiful scent of perfume! The fingerprint unlock is very fast on the screen. Very strong vibration and very strong flashlight. The stereo sound is very nice and of very good quality. Photos are very clear and not blurry at all with nice video. It supports OIS which is Optical Image Stabilization (which is always better than Digital). It is waterproof for 30 minutes at 1.5 meters in fresh water (IP68 certification). It is very fast and you can turn the 8GB RAM into 10GB by using 2 additional GB from the 256GB of the system. You can make all the settings with the Motorola "assistant" which is very explanatory as if you are watching a video on youtube, very light operating system (clean Android) with NO ads or annoying notifications at all (Google bought Motorola very expensively and then sold it much much cheaper to Lenovo). Lenovo has kept all the things that made Motorola famous and good for them. Gestures, shortcuts for camera, flashlight etc. are a guarantee of speed and immediate access. The Ready For feature that sends the image to the TV and allows you to handle the mobile on a 50-inch screen etc. is an excellent inspiration. You can adjust the icons in shape, size, and quantity, in general the Motorola operating system is very customizable. The COSMOTE 5G is amazing. It is slim and light. The processor is very fast. It includes a 68Watt fast charger, and supports wireless charging of 15Watt. The connection with Android Auto was smooth in Suzuki Vitara and immediate.
  Negatives: it may charge fast but the 4400 mAh battery is little when you want a permanent 120Hz screen (not to mention the 144Hz that consumes a lot of battery). I would prefer at least a 5000mAh battery. Also, it is not easy to find tempered glass and cases in Greece.

  Nevertheless, I give it 5 stars. Why? Because no mobile phone is perfect, I believe this one is almost perfect. For its price and what it offers you? It is a Super Value for Money device. It offers you a lot for the money you pay. Finally, I discovered that on Amazon Italy you can find many accessories (cases, screen protectors) because it is a big market for Motorola and it sells there - no comparison with Greece where they focus on Xiaomi and Samsung (I had Xiaomi and Samsung phones). For 3 years now I have returned to Motorola. I believe it is worth it and more.
  P.S. The screen is protected by Japanese NEG (Nippon Electric Glass) and Dinorex version (similar to Corning Gorilla Glass 5) Features of Dinorex Glass

  Initial review: The phone has an impressive screen and comes with a very basic plastic case. So far, I haven't found a protective glass-case in well-known stores (they say they don't bring any moto at all). The battery does seem to run out relatively quickly for a new phone (not something tragic though, I imagine it will be okay for everyday use, because now that I got the first one, I am constantly dealing with it). The biggest disappointment is that the description provides incorrect information regarding the slow motion video, the phone does not go above 240 fps. (I will check if there is an update).

  Second impression: After a few days, I can say that the battery is fine with normal use, it should last 2 to 3 days. (I changed the battery rating). The charger that comes with it is very fast, but you should know that it is a type C to type C cable.
  The photos it takes are quite beautiful, even in relatively low light with the automatic mode (not the pro mode where you manually adjust settings). I will upload them soon.

  I bought a glass case through Skroutz as I got tired of going to stores and it is fine. I got a classic black silicone case and a glass that fits exactly on the curved surfaces around.

  In terms of speed, it works fine and indeed it has no bloatware as it runs pure Android. As for updates, I have done several updates that had a date until November 23, so I have no complaint about them being too slow.

  Third update: I uploaded photos and videos from night shots in order to better show the quality of the main camera (it is more difficult to take good photos in low light). I believe they are very honest in terms of colors and clarity, considering that I took them with automatic settings and the actual lighting in the photos was much darker.

  In this category, I believe there is no competitor. I was torn between this one and the Samsung a54 and Xiaomi X5 Pro, but I ended up choosing Motorola because of the dimensity 8020 and the IP68 waterproof certification. I sacrificed the longer battery life. It's very powerful so far, works like a charm, and the camera is satisfactory for regular use considering the cost of the phone. Everything works perfectly fine. It should be noted that because it's not in high demand in Greece, there aren't many cases and accessories available. It offers great value for money and pure Android without ads.

  Very decent. For my needs, it has a good balance of economy and quality.

  The photos are nothing exceptional, but they are perfectly acceptable (the super hi res doesn't make them better). However, it is a significant upgrade compared to my previous LG G8S, especially in darker conditions.

  The video is not exceptional in terms of features or stabilization. It is acceptable for some uses, but not "wow". Still, it has much better stabilization than the LG.

  For the purchase, as an absolute "must," I had wireless charging, NFC, IP68 and above, and better photos than before, which it delivers.
  If there are things that impressed me, they are:
  - Excellent battery life for my usage. In daily life with calls, few notifications, a few photos, and some surfing, it lasts for 3 days.
  - The screen exceeds expectations in all conditions (both in light and vibrancy).
  - Fingerprint on the screen (standard, but so far, all my phones had it elsewhere).
  - "Ready For" software from Lenovo and the capabilities of remote connection and control it provides.

  If I can say that it lacks something, it is speed. I expected a huge leap from LG, which did not happen. Despite the nominal specifications that show otherwise, the 2D games I play on my phone are more jerky in their movements compared to the 4.5-year-old LG. It is better in applications, but not enough to justify the change, unless the LG was malfunctioning.

  I did not like and did not expect the bulge for the cameras to be so obvious and impractical.

  I have the feeling that the GPS has some lag compared to the LG in terms of speed of detection and refresh rate. In an attempt to time it with RaceChrono, the results were completely useless. However, I do not know what the cause was, and if I do not do a side-by-side evaluation, I do not know if I made any other mistake. Anyway, I use it with an external 10Hz GPS for timing, but something is different here.

  Finally, it is the first time I have a phone without an SD card (256 Storage), and this has made things difficult for me at times, but the Ready For feature somewhat addresses the challenges with a laptop.

  Edit: I should note that the sound from the speakers is not satisfactory compared to my previous phone.

  UNACCEPTABLE BATTERY!! It drops 10% every hour without any significant usage. With every hour check I make, it has already dropped 1%. It's borderline ridiculous.

  I don't like the sound at all, it sounds completely artificial, I would say robotic. My voice sounds deep in apps.

  The screen is yellowish and not white.

  P.S. I come from the Redmi Note 9 Pro, which still holds up well after 3 years. It lasts a day with full social media usage. Superior sound as well.

  Overall, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. It definitely does not deserve its price.

  Coming from the s21 ultra, I can say that I am impressed with the device. Excellent display. P OLED with a refresh rate of 144 Hz outshines the competition. Strong stereo sound, and a battery that manages very well, easily lasting throughout the day. Simple software, almost stock Android without unnecessary applications, with touches of Motorola that make the device even easier to use in everyday life. The size is probably ideal at 6.55 inches and extremely thin. Bonus points for the 68W charger included in the package. For the price at which the device is sold, it is a one-way street.   Bought 3 days ago for 200 euros from a friend who didn't like it, I am shocked by how beautiful it is as a device and how well Motorola has done to re-enter the smartphone market.
  I have nothing negative to say because I am fully satisfied with the device, a 144hz screen that you won't find in devices at this price range, flawless operating system without advertisements and unnecessary apps that burden the system.

  I use it as a second device because my first one, which is more expensive, is exclusively for work. I would say that for the mid-range category, it is a quite commendable choice and that Motorola, if it wants, can create incredible smartphones in the future. I won't say that it is the number one device in this category. However, it has everything, I would say, to fully satisfy you. You should know that it is not a DUAL SIM with two cards, but with one SIM + eSIM, like iPhones. I consider the price to be very good when it comes to 350 euros, with a maximum ceiling of 400 euros. The screen is good in normal conditions, but nothing special. The speed is simple, even a bit slow, I would say. The battery is very good, the sound is of good quality, and its photographic capabilities are very good for a mid-range category, etc. I believe that the company should release an update for overall improvement due to competition.

  In the mid-range (budget) category, you don't easily find all these features. The only thing this phone doesn't have is Gorilla Glass screen protection (it has a simple glass on the screen).
  Except for the fact that its camera doesn't have the best performance on the market, it is a fantastic product. Personally, I find its camera quite good.
  The device is slim and lightweight, and it truly feels premium in your hands.
  Its Android is clean and without modifications, just like HTC.
  Its battery is normal, at the end of a normal day, it will need to be charged.
  Its screen covers the entire surface of the phone without any borders, the image is fantastic. The test on YouTube in the highest quality was incredible.
  The screen on the sides is curved, something I personally like, but if someone doesn't want it, they should keep that in mind.
  As for games, it can handle all of them easily, but in the most demanding ones (like Genshin), it loses fps at maximum graphics in some moments. However, for most people, they won't encounter any problems no matter what they play.
  The back has vegan leather, which has a nice texture (that's the one I got), but if someone doesn't want it, there is also a version with a plastic back.
  The red color I got is beautiful.

  Finally, Motorola has admitted in the past that it was delayed with software updates and promised that it will be better with the Edge 40, but time will tell for that.

  I had some issues with call reception that I solved with simple instructions from YouTube.

  + A mid-range phone that easily surpasses the Samsung a52s in terms of power.
  + Good photography even in low light. Since I have been using Nikon cameras for decades, no mobile phone impresses me, but it performs well in case of emergency.
  + Battery lasts an average of 2 days for me, does not easily drain with use.
  + Waterproof, charger, etc. are known from the specifications.

  Negative:
  - 424€ on offer is relatively high for a mid-range phone. At least I had an additional small discount from the credit card and I also cut the invoice.
  - Long and narrow, like unfortunately almost all phones, makes it difficult for anyone who wants to use it for work, reading, etc.
  - Contrary to usage, battery management in standby mode is average. On the second night, it can lose more than 15% of the remaining charge, although this may not matter much to most people.
  - Cases are currently not... I bought a transparent case and a tempered glass from the island (ebay.co.uk) for 9.34€ including shipping and VAT.
