From the first days of use, they are very good shoes, for general use but also for light running. I note that I am neither experienced nor a systematic runner. My main comments:
- INSOLE, SOLE. Medium to soft, good shock absorption, zero bounce back. I like them much more for running on asphalt. On the treadmill the feeling is somewhat "spongy" and doesn't excite me.
- FIT: Perfect for neutral pronation, first the heel, slightly outward. My only complaint is that I would like the front part of the toes to be a little narrower and snugger. Others may have the opposite problem, but they are not in the wide category.
- STABILITY: Moderate. They are fine for running on asphalt, but not suitable for off-road use. Overall, I think they have a good compromise between cushioning and stability. And they are a pleasure for indoor gym use, for almost all activities, but not for squatting with 120 kg. I think they are ideal for walking or standing.
- DIFFERENCE: Perfect weight, I found them very light. The pair weighs 562 grams for size 44.5. Simple laces, slightly elastic, they don't tighten "automatically" when you pull them. The well-known quality construction of Asics, quite well-made and well-crafted. Time will tell how long they will last.

  At least tragically.
  Without any particular strain and heavy use, both shoes tore on the outer side!
  They lasted 4 months and now obviously need to be thrown away because their interior is showing!
  Don't make the mistake of buying them.

  Very good shoe, amazing cushioning and super light.
  I already have the Asics Gel-Excite Trail 2 which is basically the same model but in a winter version and for running on dirt.
  The only thing that worries me is the mesh on the upper part of the shoe, specifically at the toes, which as I read from other users tears easily.
  Time will tell its durability.
  Anyway, don't think about it, the shoe is awesome.
  I forgot to mention that you might need to get half a size bigger because it has a narrower fit.

  I bought the Asics because of a previous model that was perfect and I was not satisfied at all. Comfortable and restful shoe, but after 3 months of daily use, a hole opened in the mesh on the side. Nowadays, all sports shoes are fake. No durability like the older shoes, you pay 80 euros and the shoes don't last at all. This design, all mesh, no protection for the foot or the shoe.

  I bought them for work, I walk about 7-10 kilometers a day. Very comfortable shoe, I had knee problems and with these shoes I didn't feel anything. BUT after 6 months, both shoes tore at the same spot, where the toes end and the sole begins. That's where the shoe bends. However, the sole and the insole still hold up even after 10 months and they haven't lost their comfort. Maybe I will buy them again because of the comfort, but I'm hesitant because they wear out quickly

  I have had them for three months and I wear them almost daily with prolonged standing and a lot of walking. I am very satisfied. And I have compared them to older models in the series. What I noticed is that the same size is slightly bigger than the older ones in the series. I don't know if this is due to the different design from the older gel excite models.
