The movie is simply an extension. It definitely needs a power supply to work on its own, it is useless.

Although the film is of very good quality, I would like to emphasize that YOU NEED BOTH THE REMOTE CONTROL AND THE TRANSFORMER FOR IT TO WORK. This particular product is only one component out of the 3 that you need to make it work, and it will probably end up being more expensive if you buy them individually instead of getting the bundle that includes all 3.

Quality construction, but its silicone had something like glue on top that stuck dust and particles (I applied it on wood) that were difficult to remove! I cut it and stained it with caulk at 4 points and its quality helped me a lot in all of them! I will definitely buy again, especially now that I can manage all the corners and the tape from the same application!

Personally, ONLY red light this one. In the description, it says that you can adjust it to the color you want. I did not see that. Very weak red light. That's it...
