Description

The young neuroscientist Bee Königswasser lives by answering one simple key question: What would Marie Curie do in a similar situation?

She is absolutely certain that if NASA recognized her academic research as innovative and appointed her as the head of a project, Marie would say "yes" without a second thought.
Obviously. It is the ultimate "dream come true" for any scientist.
But the mother of modern physics never had to collaborate with Levi Ward.

Yes, Levi is theoretically a charming guy.
But he has clearly shown his feelings for Bee at the university – for some (inexplicable) reason he hates her.
And as life has proven many times, sworn enemies work best when they are... light-years apart.

But when the equipment she is waiting for never arrives and the rest of the staff at NASA's labs ignore her, Bee sees Levi almost becoming her ally, supporting her research, even being kind to her...

Suddenly, Bee's neurons are on fire, but no logical thought can justify this behavior!
Sooner or later she will realize that logic does not work in love, and then only one question remains to be answered:
What will Bee Königswasser do?

I will start by saying that I read the book "The Theorem of Love" by the author about 9 months ago and I gave it 5 stars on Goodreads while it is a wonderful book for me that I started again just after I finished it - which is rare! So I couldn't help but compare it to the current book. And I will say this: I love the author for the way she writes, placing smart women with education and work in the positive sciences while the men fall in love with them first in a slow burn romance. Are the two books identical in this regard? Yes! However, I loved this characteristic and did not find it off-putting at all? Yes, yes! From what I have generally heard, this is how the author writes and personally I like it a lot! Bee, our protagonist, is a young neuroscientist who takes on a new project at NASA and has to collaborate with her sworn enemy and graduate school classmate, Levi, who has secretly been in love with her for years. Bee has just come out of a broken engagement and vows dedication to science and not to love. However, Levi will support her in science, where the author will address the issue of feminism, and will show her that love has the image of an engineer who loves cats and cooks - in other words, the perfect man! I really liked their romance, however, I won't hide that I wanted to hit Bee at 80% of the book because she kept saying how much she hated Levi and generally had a "sourness." I will also deduct a point from my review because I found the ending rushed; I wanted to experience more of them together after the hatred they had according to Bee for 90% of the book. Nevertheless, I will say that it is a very nice slow burn romance with enemies to lovers since the narration is from the protagonist's perspective. I highly recommend it!

Okay, the author is amazing! For women who enjoy a bit of science, a bit of romance, and clever humor, I highly recommend it! I have also read her first book "The Theorem of Love" and I couldn't put both books down! I can't wait for whatever else she writes!
