High-performance adhesive and base coat for External Thermal Insulation Composite Systems (ETICS), 25kg/Sack.

Properties:

FIXOTHERM SUPER white is a premixed white cement mortar, fiber-reinforced, enhanced with polymers and other processing improvement additives. It is applied in external thermal insulation systems (thermal facades) with a dual function: a) As an adhesive material for the thermal insulation boards on the external wall, b) As a base coat over the thermal insulation boards with embedded fiberglass mesh reinforcement. As thermal insulation material, expanded polystyrene boards (EPS), mineral wool (MW), and extruded polystyrene (XPS) can be used. FIXOTHERM SUPER white is characterized by high adhesive strength, low water absorption, and high vapor permeability.

Usage Instructions:

Suitable substrates for the application of FIXOTHERM SUPER white are concrete surfaces, masonry, and lime-cement plasters, provided they are durable, clean, and dry. Weak materials, crusts from old paints or coatings that are peeling, fungi, mosses are removed mechanically. The pull-off strength of the substrate should be at least 0.08 N/mm2. Highly absorbent surfaces are primed with VIM-PRIMER. The bonding of the boards with FIXOTHERM SUPER white takes place once the primer is dry.

During the application of FIXOTHERM SUPER white, the ambient and substrate temperature must range between +5°C and +35°C. It is imperative to protect the fresh material during the drying phase from frost and solar radiation.

Mixing:

Approximately 8.15 L of water is required for each sack of FIXOTHERM SUPER white. The material is added to the water gradually under stirring until the mixture achieves proper homogeneity. The waiting time of the material in the bucket should not exceed 2 hours.

Adhesive Application:

• The application of the adhesive depends on the type and size of the thermal insulation boards and mainly on the flatness of the substrate.
• On rigid boards (EPS, XPS), the adhesive is applied with a trowel in the form of a peripheral cord and blobs inside the board. The amount of adhesive should cover at least 40% of the surface of each board.
• On walls with good flatness, the adhesive can be applied with a notched trowel.
