Generally very good umbrella. Sturdy construction and very beautiful in appearance. I chose it because it is not collapsible, to avoid the pitfalls that everyone mentions at this point (in breaking), when strong winds blow. I bought it in July and went with it to a total of 8 beaches. At the eighth beach, the wind was around 4-5 Beaufort and the umbrella behaved perfectly, secured and with 2 support cords. Suddenly, a very strong gust of wind lasting 2 seconds broke 3 ribs at the point of connection with the central pole. I'm sorry I didn't take a photo to be clearer. Right next to me was a collapsible umbrella (of a well-known brand that most are on the beaches - I won't advertise), which was also secured with 2 cords exactly on the same side as mine and which suffered no damage. I don't know if it was coincidental, I just thought I should mention that too.
In conclusion: Very beautiful umbrella, but not for strong winds. I don't know in general if there are umbrellas that can ultimately withstand strong wind conditions. What I do know is that I have a half-tent for 12 years, which doesn't mind anything. Of course, the half-tent has a different philosophy. Everything has its positives and negatives. The half-tent scores 10/10 in terms of wind.
The umbrella has a diameter of 2.2 and not 2 as stated, which suited me. It can accommodate a family of 4 (chairs, kids, toys, etc.). I haven't bought an extra pole yet, but it is of good quality (fabric, ribs, pole) and sturdy construction. It is positive that it includes pegs and ropes for tying. The bag is convenient but not particularly high quality, it needs a little attention.
