The Z 8 features the full set of functions of the Z 9 in a body that is 30% smaller than the Z 9 and 15% smaller than the D850. It is equipped with a 45 MP stacked CMOS sensor with impressive dynamic range, an amazing deep learning autofocus system, and subject and eye detection you can rely on.

Nikon's N-RAW creates files that are half the size of a ProRes RAW HQ file. It works for video up to 8.3K/60p or 4.1K/120p.

Zoom with fixed focal length lenses while shooting video! With the Z 8, a 2x optical zoom can be simulated, in-camera and in real time. The image quality is not affected, and you can program three different zoom speeds.
You can use Nikon's MB-N12 battery grip for vertical shooting or to counterbalance telephoto lenses, as well as for extended shooting sessions. You have up to 1.8 times more operating time with two EN-EL15c batteries in the grip, and you can swap out the batteries. Additionally, you can use this grip as a dual battery charger when it is not connected to the camera.
Weighing just 910 g (approx.), the full-frame Z 8 offers a comfortable grip and balances perfectly on any rig. Nikon's 'Remote Grip' MC-N10 allows precise control of the camera. And compatible third-party accessories, from gimbals to microphones and more, help elevate every shot.

Factory for producing quality photos and videos! Unmatched in autofocus on any subject you choose. I use it for weddings and baptisms! For me, it is the ultimate camera! When you get it, you will understand what I mean! Be careful with the CF memory card you choose. The Sandisk Extreme Pro CFexpress 128GB generates heat after many continuous clicks.
If you want the top machine in your hands, with the corresponding price of course, this is the solution. Simply amazing.
I won't write much, as there are countless reviews. It's the Z9 in a smaller body. It does everything exceptionally well, from wildlife to astrophotography. Excellent in hand and in handling. It holds telephoto lenses very well and generally with large lenses. However, it is heavy, bulky, not at all discreet, and the battery life is not great.
The "kit" lens is a normal Nikkon S series zoom lens, I don't need to add much more I believe. It doesn't disappoint in the slightest, not even on the Z8.
Frequent issue with overheating but expected. I have encountered it several times even during wedding photography.
