  Regarding the qned 826re, it is indeed edge lit, just like the newer qned series (except for the mini led models) and like 80% of televisions and all screens, gaming monitors, laptop monitors, etc. The edge lit technology is simpler and provides very good uniformity, so as a result, the television is ideal for gaming and watching sports. Also, the television has an LED strip located at the bottom of the television, which is much more accessible and more economical to repair. One more thing, edge lit models are more resistant to shocks, for example, in case you frequently move the television or have it on a wall mount and change its position. Unfortunately, the reliability and overall lifespan of edge lit televisions are not top-notch, especially if you have the television in dynamic mode or vivid mode. Prefer to use it more in normal mode, eco mode, or filmmaker's mode, and always away from heat sources. Unfortunately, in many tests, the reliability of edge lit technology seems to lag behind direct led, full array, and mini led televisions. However, it remains just as reliable as OLED.

  The qned technology that the qned826 features is essentially a combination of quantum dot and nanocell. Overall, this particular television provides very high brightness, meaning a 2 times richer and brighter image compared to conventional televisions, reaching 500 nits, instead of the 250-280 that conventional ones reach. As a result, the performance in HDR is also very good.

  The colors of the qned 826 are very rich, and the detail of the image is very high. All thanks to the very powerful processor. However, be careful as the much more economical qned 756 and 7T6 do not have the brightness and color performance of the 826 in any way... One more thing, the 826qe model from '22 has lower contrast than the 826 re from '23.

  Overall, the image of the 826 has very little to envy even the more expensive televisions, even many of the OLEDs. Certainly, since it is not an OLED television, it does not run any risk of burn-in, unlike OLEDs. Also, the motion in the image does not produce the annoying flicker that budget or older generation OLEDs produce.

  The only downside is the not excessively deep black. This may be noticeable in movies, but only in dark scenes, especially when subtitles appear, but it is not very annoying and you get used to it. This characteristic is present in many televisions in this price category. However, the qned826re features local dimming, although it has only 6 zones, which slightly help the performance of the black.

  It is good to have a low polarizing light in the room, e.g., a lamp or some other type of lighting. Also, if you are watching movies, it might be good to lower the brightness of the backlight a bit to enhance the performance of the black...

  The 120hz it has is perfect for gaming... but also for movies. The processor with AI does very good upscaling and generally transforms the image. Chaotically richer and more impressive image than the similarly priced and featured Samsung q70, and even from the q80.
  Comparatively, the Samsung Q80D delivers colors more "softly," perhaps even more "flat," and does not achieve the same good viewing angle (due to the VA panel). However, it features full array technology with local dimming and will clearly provide better blacks in movies... For this reason alone, for some users, the Q80D may be the best choice... as well as the Sony X85L (full array with VA panel) at about the same price...
  Also, good options include the LG 866, 966, 916, and 91T6, which have very good blacks thanks to the mini LED technology they possess, but the price goes up quite a bit.

  However, we must not forget that the a7 Gen6 processor of the LG QNED 826 is very good and performs excellent upscaling and tone mapping.

  Overall, the 65-inch QNED 826RE is a good choice for getting a good and rich image with high detail and color, good viewing angles, etc... with only the downside of not having very deep blacks, but I consider that something that is quite common...
  And it definitely does not have the burn-in risk that OLEDs have... so the lifespan of the television, although not unlimited... is much longer than that of OLEDs.

  We bought the 50". We mounted it on the wall and were disappointed from the beginning. Zero viewing angle. Just as the previous ones said. You can only see straight ahead of the TV. The colors were not particularly high quality either. We changed it the next day. Stay away from this model.

  I went for this particular model due to replacing the Nanocell756QC (terrible bleeding and faulty panel). I can say that I was won over by the LG service and decided to give it another chance. This 65" TV has amazing picture quality, with slight bleeding that is almost eliminated with settings (mainly panel lighting). Sound doesn't concern me much due to the presence of a Sony home theater. It was on sale for 800 euros from 1300, so I consider it a great value for money, being between Nanocell and OLED. Overall, if you are picky and want to avoid the small issues (black light, bleeding, etc.), you should go for an OLED with a higher price tag.

  In the specific price range that this television is currently at, it is excellent for what it offers. Personally, I use it for gaming and series. The picture, colors, and motion, especially in gaming, are amazing. It has 120 Hz, which is hard to find at this price. The same goes for series. Especially after adjusting the settings, it is exactly to everyone's taste.

  The only downside of this particular television is that due to the QNED panel, the image distorts from the sides. If you sit slightly to the side, it looks fine, but if you go almost parallel, it distorts a lot. Personally, it doesn't affect me at all for the use I want it for, and even with four people sitting across from each other to watch a series or movie, it looks great. The sound is quite satisfactory, especially with the AI setting. I would like a bit more bass.

  Overall, for the money it is currently at, I don't think there is a better choice

  Now that the price has dropped, something is happening, not 1600 as it was at the beginning. Also, LG itself was giving it for 1100 with a soundbar as a gift, then it was a good choice.
