The truth is that I have no experience with security cameras since this is the first one I bought, especially for monitoring my baby. It has such good image quality at night and day that I immediately bought a second one. Both can be seen in the accompanying camera application. For €30, I believe it is an excellent purchase. It comes with a USB 5v power supply and a 2m cable. User-friendly application through which you can record videos, take photos, and of course, rotate the camera right, left, up, and down. Good and affordable but it has an issue with its setup. It took me several hours and days to discover that the camera connects relatively easily with a VDSL router, but not at all with ADSL. Although it states (like most consumer cameras) that it only connects to a 2.4G network, it connects normally with the new Dual Mode routers (I tried 4) on the 2.4G frequency, either automatically or when I manually selected it separately from the 2.4G & 5G frequencies. However, the ADSL routers (I tried 3) which are already 2.4G were unable to complete the connection with the camera in the final stage.

Unfortunately, it is not mentioned anywhere that it is only compatible with broadband routers or at least not with all of them.

Update: I finally found a compatible ADSL router, the ZTE H108N. (The 3 routers that failed to synchronize, of course after a complete reset, are: ZTE ZXHN H108NS, Thomson TG585 v7 & Technicolor TG582n)

Useful tip: Once the camera is part of your Imou Life account, if you need to change the router, you don't have to delete it. After selecting it (even if it's offline), go to the settings and WLAN, and start the connection process with the new router.

The well-known DMSS application (Dahua) is fully compatible with IMOU products since they belong to the same company, and personally, I find it much better.
