This cable only transfers power and not data. It does not state anywhere in the description and generally for a type-c cable extension, it is implied that it transfers data unless stated otherwise. Plus, it is useless to just transfer power with type c unless you simply want to charge a device. But we are talking about a communication protocol that transfers everything, power, sound, image, data. Just transferring power is practically pointless. If by chance they replace it for me, I will change my review accordingly because it seems to be of very good quality.
