Description

The publication of all of Aristotle's works is aimed at the reader who wants to read the philosopher's work without being a specialist in philosophy, as well as at students and professors who can now refer to a Greek practical edition, unified and scientifically updated. Each work is published under the responsibility of a renowned specialist and includes Aristotle's ancient text and its translation, as well as an introduction, a summary of the argumentation of each chapter, brief comments and notes, bibliography, glossary, and an index of names and ancient passages. Aristotle's works occupy 22 volumes, the last of which is a dictionary of basic Aristotelian concepts. The translation and publication of Aristotle's works is a project of the Society for the Study of Human Sciences and is implemented with the financial support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. The responsibility for the publication lies with Gerasimos Kouzelis, professor at the University of Athens, and the scientific direction is by Vasilis Kalfas, professor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and Pantelis Bassakos, professor at Panteion University.
