Very good and honest. I put a Cosmote card and it reached speedtest 970MBps Down/ 190 Up.
If it doesn't lock in 5G when you set it up, but only in 4G, put the card in a 5G phone to lock the card once and then put it back in the ZTE and it will work.
Unfortunately, it cannot maintain the 5G NSA network and continuously switches to 4G. Its menu has very few options.
Awesome mobile router. In an area with relatively good 5G coverage, it picks up a signal like a bell and easily and steadily at 100 Mb with a maximum of 300 Mb.
It's not worth even 50€. As soon as I set it up, it reached 200 Mbps speed and 55 upload. This happened at first, but the next day when the portal was full, it wouldn't connect to another one. I go into the menu and there is no manual option to select another portal. Besides that, for the first time in 2 years with a 4G+ router, this one performs worse, and on top of that, it freezes YouTube and Netflix many times throughout the day when my phone is connected as well. The previous one was from TP-Link, and I can't believe this one is worse. I wasn't expecting such a disappointment.

The router is ready to use as soon as you insert the card. Just make sure to disable the SIM pin by putting it in a mobile phone first. In the center of Katerini with OTE's distribution box without fiber optics (let's not ruin the sweetness of the skewered food cafes on the pedestrian street) and a maximum speed (on paper) of 50 Mbps, my router gives me 70-170 even though I have it "stuffed" in the most interior room of the house and far from open spaces. On the balcony, it reached 250 when I tested it! Additionally, I eliminated the TP LINK I had to send a signal throughout the house! Now it picks up a good signal throughout the house (160 sqm). I haven't tried connecting a telephone device for calls yet because it's unnecessary due to unlimited minutes on our mobile phones. I bought it after extensive reading of reviews for it (and for other routers) and advice from a technician from a mobile company who also has it. I had already had a ZTE 4G router here for a year and a half that I use in a professional space, so the brand was another plus! I highly recommend it! Its only drawback is that it can only connect 2 ethernet cables for wired connection, but that doesn't change the 5 stars in its rating!
Simple menu, easy to connect with Cosmote unlimited sim card, it is an excellent solution for those who want very high speeds in areas where the fixed line does not support. It also has an RJ11 port for a phone which I did not use and also 2 LAN ports. There is no on-off button but only WPS.
I use this Router because it is provided by Nova in the 5G Home Internet program, with a charge of 26€ per month. By inserting the sim card, it connected immediately to the Internet with initial speeds (download 99.4, upload 9.63). After some use and browsing, the speeds unfortunately decreased significantly. Okay, this is also mentioned in the advertisement, that it is up to 100mbps. The range of the 5G signal is moderate, next is also quite good for 4G. My main problem is with the landline phone. Unfortunately, the communication is of poor quality. There are noises on the line and some momentary distortions, resulting in missing words from the caller. A technician came and checked it, and found a problem with the packages received by the router. He mentioned something about replacement. The same day I received a message that the problem was resolved, unfortunately it still remains. Also, I should mention that if for any reason you restart the router, you should also restart the peripherals connected to it, in this case a POS and a surveillance camera. The problem with the landline phone until today 19/7/2024 continues and remains. I will request, as it seems, a downgrade of the connection to a simple Adsl 24 Mbps, which was the original connection.
Just received the mobile router ZTE M888, very good with Vodafone SIM card, works as a landline phone with the mobile number of the SIM card, very good signal, WiFi easy to set up, tried it with Cosmote 4G SIM card and works perfectly, better than Vodafone. The router menu is simple, nothing special. The price is very expensive. As for data, if you don't have unlimited data connection, it's not worth it, data goes away like water. The speed is not always stable. It is fast in speed
After moving, the provider's speed was 10mbps so I was looking for solutions.
I was torn between starlink and a 5g router. After a lot of research, I chose this one and I did very well.
At home, it catches 5g (only cosmote) quite strongly so now I have 240-380 down and 30-50 upload.
For gamers, the Ping is quite high but without issues, I am at 70-90 (I get this with wifi)
It didn't bother me at all during installation or set up. The only issue was that the cosmote card didn't have 5g enabled, it took me a little time to figure it out.
The 2.4 network gives around 120mbps.
Negatives.
Wifi doesn't reach almost anywhere. Especially the 5g barely passes the balcony door. It was solved with another router or repeater.
Right at the balcony door from the inside, it caught 30-50 as soon as I took it outside we reached 350 at a distance of 1.5 meters. (I have placed it inside a bucket that used to have color hermetically sealed and neither rain nor humidity enter and it does not increase temperature. I have made a small hole just enough for the power cable to enter)
If you have 5g in your area, check it with your mobile phone, either get this one or even better the 889 for outdoor use. Now the 889 costs 20 euros more than this one and they say it has no issue with rain. I wouldn't trust it so much unless it goes into a box. When I bought mine, it had a 100 euro difference.
Guys, it's amazing, I solved the internet problem because I live in a terrible area without fiber optic and I was getting around 8 Mbps with simple ADSL. It reaches a higher speed than my iPhone 15 Plus, consistently and without disconnections (I've had it for over a month). I connected it easily and the settings through the browser are also very simple. In a three-story maisonette, with 3 wireless access points, I now get 350 Mbps on the third floor, 250 Mbps on the second floor, and about 100 on the ground floor, which is completely disconnected. You should get it without hesitation.
I am very satisfied with its performance and settings. It only loses 1 star solely because of its high price, not its functionality.
Installation of the router is very easy. It has been stable in operation so far, I haven't had any issues for a month now. The speed with Cosmote sim is amazing. However, the purchase price is quite high.
The ZTE MC888 5G mobile router is very good. It reaches speeds of around 300 and something here where I am with Vodafone Ultimate Data SIM card, the WiFi is very stable and strong. I connected it to the Xiaomi 4A gigabit WAN router without any problems. It connected to my mobile at WiFi 6 2800 Mbps, as well as my TV. Setup took only 1 minute and the interface is easy to use. What else can I say? I think the rest of the settings can be adjusted according to each individual's needs.
Update: When I changed the position of the router, it reached speeds of around 400 Mbps. One thing I noticed is that it doesn't allow me to change the country. It is permanently set to the United Kingdom and locked there.
Regarding the features mentioned in the description:
