Description
Olive was always unlucky… In her career, in love… in everything!
On the other hand, her twin sister Ami is the exact opposite.
Her life seems like it came out of a romantic movie: she is about to marry the love of her life and managed to organize her dream wedding by winning online contests.
The cherry on top? One of the couple's best men is the very annoying Ethan.
And who could be so unlucky as to be the other maid of honor? You guessed it right.
Olive will sacrifice an entire day next to him for the sake of her sister.
Goal? Survival and return to her routine.
But then bad luck hits its peak and all the guests get food poisoning, except for Olive and Ethan.
And now there is an opportunity for a paid trip to Hawaii for two people.
They agree to set aside their differences for the sake of the free vacation, determined to avoid each other during the trip at all costs.
But a series of misunderstandings forces them to actually pretend to be the loving newlyweds.
Suddenly, Olive realizes that maybe she doesn't mind pretending.
In fact, she has started to feel somewhat… lucky!

The story follows Olive, an identical twin who, until her sister's wedding, is plagued by bad luck and misfortune, and everything goes wrong for her, including the fact that she is forced to go on a dream honeymoon pretending to be her sister with her hated enemy Ethan, the groom's brother. The two are forced to spend 10 days tolerating each other in dreamy Maui, only for fate to turn things around, and eventually, Olive begins to feel lucky! I admit that I struggled a lot in the first 100 pages to focus on the book; it was my first encounter with the authors, and also, although it is written in the first person, it was quite challenging for me. However, once the love interest started to intensify, I found it interesting and can say that it kept me engaged, and I consider it light and ideal for the beach. However, I must state that I found the characters shallow and their connection not very strong and somewhat superficial. Perhaps it is because I am used to more intense love stories.
