I just installed it. It works great. Directly connected to the PC, it reached 350 Mbps. The photo is from a mobile phone connected via WiFi to a Ubiquiti access point and then internal wiring of the house to the rack....

    Verified purchase

Bought it for 370 euros, with Cosmote providing 380mbps download and 80mbps upload, with very easy signal detection.

It's not great for routing, but it does the job if you don't have any other options.

The interface is not very good and it's not very customizable, but it works really well in bridge mode and routing from an Archer AX50.

    The POE is very convenient.

Overall, it's worth it if you're tired of slow speeds. Test how much your 5G mobile can reach and it will reach THE SAME.

Replaced an MC801A 5G CPE WiFi router indoor. Big difference in speeds, with the MC801A I was getting 120down/50up and with the 889 I am at 240down/160up. Although it can do routing, it is good to put a router behind it, operate the 889 in bridge mode, and not connect access points directly on it.

For torrent users, enable TCP connection only, uTP must be off to avoid instability and reboots.

For me (and for many others) who only have an ADSL line in the area, it is truly a one-way street. After making sure that your area has sufficient 5G coverage, you sign a contract with the company of your choice for one of the unlimited packages, insert the SIM card into the router (after removing the pin from your mobile phone first), and simply enjoy the speeds of 5G, as if you had the SIM in an expensive mobile phone. Outside on the balcony where the antenna is installed, it gets full signal and so far I have seen speeds of up to 350 Mbps download and 35 Mbps upload. Compared to the 6 Mbps download and 0.7 Mbps upload of ADSL, it's like day and night. I would even call it precise, but much cheaper than most other options. ATTENTION! You also need a Wi-Fi router for it to work, I have it on a TP Link Archer GX90, which distributes it via LAN & Wi-Fi 6. I really saved myself with this product and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants an external solution!
