Perhaps the best and most complete <1000€ passive bookshelf speaker that one can buy in 2021. That's it.

Sturdy construction, rich sound, good dispersion, matched well with the YAMAHA A S 701. Excellent purchase.

The issue is that they perform very well in spaces without special acoustic care. Place them in an equilateral triangle with each side measuring less than two meters. I have had it for about six months and it simply plays wonderfully.

Very good speakers, with incredible build quality (for their price). I got them in black (covering, not black lacquer) on sale. Their sound is exceptional for their price range and volume. They sound bigger than they are, with detailed highs (but never tiring or exaggerated), controlled and extended lows, while the mids are their strong point.

It is also very important to note that they have ready-made threads and screws underneath to screw them onto stands. Finally, I would like to point out that they are designed and manufactured in France!

Every day that passes, I appreciate them more and more. The speakers are a work of art on their own... aesthetics, build quality, sound quality... exceptional!
You have to see them up close and hear them to understand!

The review is about the speaker with the black color, its purchase was at 840€. I have never seen such a high-quality speaker before, it has an excellent quality black glass on the top and exceptional black polished material next to it, and underneath and in front it has something like leather which is also of great quality. The speakers are very sturdy in construction.

Let's move on to the sound, the speaker initially produces exceptional sound when you hear it, but after about 80 hours of breaking in, it becomes a completely different speaker, as if you bought another one! Amazing, clean, full sound, as if you are listening to music for the first time... Now, due to the quality of the sound, I have started to listen to other genres of music that I didn't listen to at all.

Buy without fear!

I would say it's also cheap, considering its (excellent) sound performance.
It needs a good setup and solid bases - the accompanying Focal stands are excellent but quite expensive.
I don't know about the durability of the linen speaker over time, but it is extremely fast and detailed, and visually very beautiful (get rid of the grilles, they make it look ugly!).

I didn't believe their quality when I took them out of the box. The speakers are of incredible quality, not only in terms of sound performance but also in terms of finishing, weight, and aesthetics. You may find cheaper speakers from other companies with better "features" (let's say), but the sound result of Focal will exceed all your expectations.

I had and have heard much more expensive speakers.. the aria is one of the most airy, refined, musical, and relaxing speakers I have heard, even in double the price range, it makes you want to listen to music constantly. Made entirely in France with exceptional materials, quality, and finishing. No comparison to the Chinese boxes with English names that play in the same price category.. worth every penny
