Description

The Earth is invaded by an otherworldly radiation that mutates emotional tears into toxins. Anyone who cries from intense joy or sorrow loses their eyes. All fundamental principles are shaken and eventually collapse, while the remaining people view memories as a potential threat and live in isolation.

Alice Wonder, a girl born after the radiation, eagerly travels to the Prison – the safest place in the New Era. However, she must first make a stop for the funeral of an unknown woman, her mother. On the train, she meets a mysterious man, Albert, who reveals that he knew her mother since childhood and offers to share an old, shared memory of theirs. Despite it being strictly forbidden by law, Alice succumbs to the temptation and agrees. Before she realizes it, another, better world unfolds before her eyes. She is left in awe, but very soon she realizes she is in danger...
