Can I Fly the Drone Normally Without Any Special Permit?
Yes, provided that the weight of the drone is below 250g and the maximum flight height is at most 120 meters from the ground. In any case, try to minimize the time during which you fly over people. Finally, you should take into account the areas where drones are not allowed to fly (e.g., military camps, city centers, or near airports or areas with an ongoing emergency response situation). For more details, you can get information for each drone category from the relevant regulatory authority, which is the Civil Aviation Authority.
Skroutz Tips
We took care and learned for you!
A drone in the price range of the SE but with capabilities closer to the Mini 3.
Autonomy decreases in difficult weather conditions.
OcuSync 2.0 system compared to the "simple" Wi-Fi we had on the Mini SE. This upgrade also boosted the active range of the Mini 2 SE to 10 kilometers distance from the receiver.
Level 5 wind resistance: At a wind speed of 10.7 m/s, the drone can hover steadily and keep its images stable.
The camera is good even for night shots.
The screen is clear and readable even under sunlight.

For the money, very reliable, easy to handle, I got it as a gift for my boys aged 9 and 14, the camera is very good, the battery lasts about 20 minutes, it flies up to 2 or 2.5 km range, it has a button that returns it automatically to the base, I didn't find anything negative.
I also bought it at a Black Friday price, for what it offers it is top-notch, incredibly nice handling, very good autonomy, video quality, the DJI app is very good, whatever I say is not enough!! Extremely satisfied especially for a first drone, it truly is worth it!! Take advantage of some discount and I honestly believe you won't regret it!!
Bought for 229 euros on Black Friday. I also have a cheap drone with GPS with limited range and a terrible camera, very stable though and nice flying, but this one is incredible. Today is the first day and I hit a flock of pigeons. It didn't notice anything. I also got insurance just in case. The only thing I didn't like much is that while the drone turns slowly, the footage comes out a bit abrupt even in cine mode. In the end, there is a setting for that, but I haven't tried it yet. If you want to get involved, even as beginners, get it and don't be afraid, it's very easy to handle. Of course, there are much more expensive DJI drones that have other capabilities, but I believe that for a first drone, this one is very good. Also, don't spend money on cheap drones; it's wasted money
There is nothing better for its price in the world. Just be careful if your phone is compatible with the dji fly app. Although I consider myself a beginner, I managed to shoot a video on YouTube with this drone
https://youtu.be/8LHa7kabnuQ?si=dn7hsLZ02ro7O4qM
with just a little effort.
I got it for my partner as a birthday gift and I have to say that for a 100% beginner with no knowledge of flying a drone, its instructions and easy handling make you capture very beautiful footage from your vacations, excursions, or just on a walk where you decide to take it with you to see the place from above. In conclusion, I highly recommend it especially for beginners, having only a little consideration for the wind, as we, being beginners ourselves, were afraid to fly it in all the places we wanted, maybe because of its weight (very light) or because it only has a sensor below, so it was a bit intimidating personally. Maybe I will come back for an update!
My first serious drone after the cheap ones I bought to learn. For beginners like me, it is JUST what you need. You read the manual carefully, read it again, and then slowly spread your wings. Don’t rush to do stunts; it is easy to use, but just as easily, damage can occur out of nowhere. For now, I have it in Cine Mode for flight because it has a lower speed and is the mode for video and photo captures. I tried Normal, and if you are in an open space, you can practice just fine. I put it in Sport mode for a bit, and it reached a speed of 45km in no time; this is for advanced users. Personally, besides as a hobby, I got it as a helpful tool for my work because what you can’t see from below, you can see from above. Eyes in the sky, as they say. Safe flying with caution and above all, not over crowds.
Update 15/11/2024
It’s worth the money. It’s a small beast. I went "hunting" ships at the port of Rethymno, and it really delivers. I went out to 3.8km and back without any problem, BUT the weather was perfect. No headwind, completely calm. With wind, you can’t go that far because you also need to return safely. After 350 hours of flying, I can say that anyone who wants a drone for beginners to join the club is just right. I recommend it for a first drone purchase for teenagers who want to learn. Just make sure to do it away from people and in open spaces without obstacles and power lines.
It is my first drone and I am completely a beginner. However, with due care, one can fly and handle it quite easily.
The stability system allows it to hover even in gusts of 4 to 5 Beaufort, as long as it has a strong GPS signal to detect and correct the displacement.
The gimbal perfectly corrects the tilts, so much so that in the video (2.7k) you don't notice anything!
As for the range, I managed to reach up to 2.1 km (horizontal distance) comfortably. Unfortunately, its battery was not fully charged during takeoff and it returned on its own (RTH Return To Home) to make it back before the battery ran out and it fell.
It does not have obstacle avoidance sensors, so be very careful with lateral movements where the camera cannot see.
Pay attention to the following:
1. Remaining flight time indication
2. GPS signal strength indication
3. Remote control connection strength indication
4. Obstacles that may be outside the camera's field of view.
edit: The tool is amazing. Today I launched it from Alonissos and it went all the way to Skopelos. 6 km. Of course, luckily it managed to make a forced landing 3 meters in front of me. It didn't have enough battery for more.
Very good, easy to use and stable, I have only flown it within the city so far and it doesn't go more than 900-1000 meters. I don't know if it's the networks' fault, but as soon as I have an opinion outside the city, I will update
Very good in stability, countless functions, quite good battery autonomy. The only thing that concerned me is the range within the city, at least in my case, at 500 meters from "home" the signal of the remote control and drone was lost and I had to bring it back. Otherwise, very good, I believe it's worth its money
After almost 2 years, my drone presented the issue of a continuous yellow light and no longer connects to the remote control, not even in pairing mode. I sent it to DJI and they told me the circuit board is burnt, costing 150€ to fix. Many users of the Mavic Mini and Mini 2 series have experienced this problem after 2 years.
The best thing for a first drone or for beginners.
It makes you feel like a pro from the first flight!! Especially with the quickshots, you become semi-pro and capture shots you couldn't even imagine. The camera for video in 2.7K is more than satisfactory and the 4K photos are super.
Although you have to be very careful and fly relatively high or in open spaces because it doesn't have an obstacle avoidance system, it is truly perfect. With this price, you can't have higher expectations.
I am not an expert and I was afraid to try it.
I did not expect it to be so good and easy to handle.
Practically, you can learn it with a glance at the manual and a few flights in an open space.
It does not have automatic obstacle avoidance, so it requires your constant attention.
In terms of range, it is so good that you lose sight of it and with continuous video recording, I measured 20 minutes of flight with a 5m/s wind.
I also did not expect such good image quality for this price.
I see some reviews from experts in the field that I actually saw and experienced when I started using it.
Good tool, with a nice camera, stable in the air, etc... as previous reviewers have mentioned.
BUT if you want object tracking and/or waypoints, it doesn't have them. DJI normally provides such features only in their professional models and allows third parties to implement them for the cheaper ones. An example of this is the Litchi application. However, the DJI decided that for this particular model, they will not allow third parties to create applications.
Apart from the Mini 2 SE, the following are also affected:
Mavic 3
Mavic 3 Cine
Mavic 3 Classic
Avata
Here is DJI's announcement:

It is the first time in my life that I drive a drone and for someone who doesn't even know how to drive and it will be his first drone, he will have a perfect experience
I have had it since October 2023. First of all, let me say that you pay for a decent Kia but you get a Mercedes in your hands!
Negatives:
1. It does not have Active Track. Neither the Mini 2 nor the Mini 3 have it either! Only the Pro versions have it, at a price three times higher than the SE 2. With third-party apps, something can be done, but not perfectly. (Correction, nothing can be done at all...)
2. It does not avoid obstacles! If you fly it towards a wall, it will hit it! So be careful not to fly it towards a wall. You need to know where you are flying it. In landscapes and aerial shots, everything is fine! But in the city, forests, parks, etc., you need to carefully check the space and plan your flight beforehand.
3. Not too bad, but it has lower ISO sensitivity than its siblings. It is not the best for night shots, but it is not bad either. Check out the photo I uploaded.
Positives:
1. Great value for money!!!
2. Very stable, easy to fly even for beginners. With the Quickshots, which are pre-programmed shots that move away from the subject, make a circle or spiral, or take off vertically from the subject, you can capture professional-level footage without having any idea about flying. But be careful with the negative point number 2 that I mentioned above!
3. Very small and lightweight, you can take it with you everywhere. We made a case out of a transparent bag that Jumbo sells, I think it's for cosmetics, and it literally became a "box"! Check out the related photo with the controller below, the drone on top of it, and a piece of acoustic foam from Praktiker holding everything securely in place.
4. Amazing photo and video quality. I couldn't tell the difference between the 2.7k resolution and the 4k on my 65-inch TV! Everything looks perfect without any loss of detail! I don't know if you want to watch it on a 150-inch projector...
5. It's DJI, not some Chinese brand that you don't know what will happen to it! (Well, it is Chinese, but not a cheap Chinese brand)
6. It has already survived a crash from 2.5 meters due to a branch, and it didn't suffer ANY damage!!! Not even a scratch. It fell on a dirt road, not on concrete, but also not on soft sand. I understand that it is durable, and if I have any new experiences, I will come back and share!
That's all from me, good luck to those who decide to get it!
Very good Drone!!
I would even say professional.
It has countless modes and functions that you can use.
The battery easily lasts with one charge. (Personally, it has never run out on me, and even if it does, I always have a power bank with me. (It charges very quickly)
It's worth getting, it's an amazing tool!!!!
It's worth every penny and more!!!
The drone is awesome. Easy to use, stable, very good camera, and amazing connectivity. Literally losing yourself. Good battery life. However, a carrying bag should be included in the packaging. Also, for technical support, one must go to Athens. Highly recommend it without hesitation.
I preferred to get the mini2 se fly combo with the 3 batteries, etc. instead of the mini3 fly combo and I don't regret it for a minute as my first drone. At first, when you see the size, you wonder what is this, but as soon as you connect, charge the batteries, download the relevant app, and take off, you're amazed! You can read the specifications and the mini 3 may have some differences, but essentially they are negligible! 500€ for the mini 2 combo, 700€ for the mini 3 combo... are they worth it? It's up to each person's judgment! Anyway, I'm amazed by this!
Salty for its price... but for newcomers (like me) in the drone world, it's just what you need.
It does everything superbly... and with the footage you'll capture, your jaw will drop.
You'll remember me.
