The Home Assistant SkyConnect is designed to be the ideal companion for Home Assistant users. The device offers easy connection with Zigbee and will support Matter specifications in the future with firmware updates from Home Assistant.

The device supports firmware updates Over-The-Wire (OTW) via the USB interface, making firmware updates quick and easy for both protocols. It is an EFR32 Series 2 (Silicon Labs EZSP v8) adapter that transmits with +20 dBm power. It supports full-speed USB 2.0 when connected to the included USB extender.

Home Assistant will provide an Addon that communicates with the Ember Stacks for Zigbee and Matter. Nabu Casa will offer continuous firmware updates, ensuring the best user experience from a Zigbee/Matter adapter.

The USB Stick will be Plug and Play, integrated with the Zigbee automation infrastructure, offering a user-friendly experience for beginners.
