Cornelius Castoriadis was one of the most important and radical thinkers of the second half of the twentieth century. A philosopher of radical imagination, co-founder of the legendary journal "Socialisme ou Barbarie" (Socialism or Barbarism), a psychoanalyst who renewed Freudian theory, a political thinker of high caliber who inspired workers and students during the events of May 1968 in France, a prominent economist at the OECD, a recognized Hellenist, an advocate for a libertarian Left, and a champion of the project of autonomy.

This book is the first complete and systematic monograph in Greece on the entirety of Cornelius Castoriadis's work. It can serve as a handbook, with each chapter functioning independently while also integrating organically into the whole, creating a fascinating mosaic of the philosopher's thought.
