Slightly larger than its predecessor Sonos One, the Era 100 comes with brand-new software, next-generation acoustics and design that deliver detailed stereo sound and deep bass.
It features built-in microphones, a button and switch for deactivation, an LED operation indicator, advanced noise cancellation software to detect voice commands even in noisy environments for voice control of the Sonos system, as well as other home automation devices, via Amazon Alexa (where available) and Sonos Voice Control.
Made from recycled materials, it is ready to meet the challenges faced by the environment, demonstrating greater durability and lower energy consumption (power consumption below 2W when idle).
With several improvements in sound and technology, the slim, modern design of the Era 100 makes it an elegant speaker that can be placed on any shelf, kitchen counter, desk, or bedside table.
Two tweeters, positioned at an angle, send crisp high frequencies to the left and right for a rich stereo experience, while a larger midwoofer creates stunning bass that is unexpected from a compact speaker (each speaker is driven by a digital Class D amplifier).
The Era 100 features an intuitive new interface, including a new touch slider for easier volume control that complements the quick and private control of your music with the Sonos app, Apple AirPlay 2, and Bluetooth.
Using an array of microphones, Trueplay technology analyzes the unique acoustics of your space and optimizes the EQ of the Era 100 speaker with a single tap in the Sonos app. Available for both Android and iOS devices.
Designed to stay in your home for years, it is built in such a way that it is easy to repair, reducing the use of materials such as glue and using screws for easy disassembly and repair.
The Era 100 is designed for ease of listening, with multiple ways to protect your privacy. Turn off voice assistants by pressing the speech bubble at the top of the speaker. The light will also turn off. You will still have access to other microphone-enabled features, such as Trueplay.
Ensure that no one accidentally activates the voice assistant by turning off the switch on the back of the speaker. This disconnects all power to the microphone hardware for added security.
Create the perfect conditions for an ideal Movie Night by adding two Era 100 as rear speakers in combination with a soundbar to create a surround sound system, or simply pair two Era 100 together for stereo sound that fills the space (speakers sold separately).

Yesterday I received it. I was looking for a good self-amplified speaker for music on the computer. It was on sale for 199, so I bought it. Incredible packaging, you can tell that you are getting a very good product. As for the sound, from what I have heard, it is excellent. It is quite powerful and has quality. You can understand the separation even though all the speakers are on top. Regarding the connection, it connects easily with Wi-Fi through the app. I have a Mac Mini computer, and it connected almost instantly with it via AirPlay. The latency, a problem mentioned by foreign sites, is at very tolerable levels and does not cause issues. There is a problem with the connection to the computer when, for example, you connect Bluetooth headphones; it completely loses the speaker and takes time to reconnect. In the future, I will get an adapter. First time with Sonos, and I will see if I invest again. In terms of sound, it is excellent.
I bought 2 for a stereo pair and put them in the bedroom. Their sound is excellent and the stereo separation is accurate. In jazz, which I usually listen to, the instrument separation is very precise and gives you the feeling that you are at a concert. Their volume is very good and they become clear from the middle and above. Finally, the handling with the touch buttons frees your hands as you don't need to be on your phone all the time.
I have the Logitech z5500 and they can last for 20 years without any issues for movies, music, Xbox, etc. But if you listen to the era100 speakers on music, even on Spotify, and then see their size, you'll be amazed.
I will definitely buy another one to pair them up!
Also, the true play feature really does a great job to the point where I wonder why other companies don't have something similar. 6 stars.
