    For example, if the indicator is at 1.4 A then it means that the device needs that much at that moment and is requesting that from its charger.
    If it needs more A, it will draw more, but for this specific Philips, the maximum is 2.4 A and it will not provide more because it cannot and because it is not designed for more, with the risk of overheating, possibly excessively, and eventually burning out.
