The Alp Trainer 2 Gore-Tex is an alpine hiking shoe, designed for increased comfort during tough use in the mountains.

Solid protection.
Designed to offer solid protection, the sturdy leather upper is made from high-quality suede and is supported with a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX Extended Comfort membrane and a full 360° elastic rod for additional protection, resistant to rocks and punctures.

Full comfort.
The 3F system allows for a precise and supportive fit. The Climbing Lacing allows for adjustment down to the toes for better performance. The EVA midsole provides superior shock absorption and excellent comfort for a technical shoe.

Enhanced grip.
Underfoot, the Vibram Alpine Hiking outsole, exclusive to SALEWA, provides improved performance and control over a wide range of mountain terrain and also excels in wet and muddy conditions thanks to the exclusive climbing, traction, and braking zones and the aggressive design.

    I wore them on a summer hike in the mountains, mainly on trails, and they are very comfortable, made of leather and breathe well. I also wore them quite a bit in the city. They don’t slip and are very stable both on trails and on rocks, as well as on wet pavement slabs. In a stream where I submerged them halfway, they were waterproof. I will wear them in winter to see. However, they showed wear after the third/fourth time I wore them, as you can see in the photo. Wear that appeared in other shoes after a long time. I needed one size larger than in athletic shoes.
