The modern man is deeply concerned with issues of self-knowledge, tranquility, balance, and love. What does the Orthodox baptismal tradition say about all these? Through the speeches of the holy bishop, who listened to the depths of thousands of souls in his flock, we get the answers that the lived faith gives to Christ.

Saint Gabriel, bishop of Imereti in Georgia, lived in the 19th century. He was educated, married, and initially had many children, but his wife and all his children died. Then he received a blessing and became a monk, later becoming the abbot of the monastery and being appointed bishop. Merciful and compassionate, he traveled his region and gave speeches to the simple and uneducated people, up to 4 speeches a day, from village to village, listening to their concerns and needs.

The texts were edited by the Holy Monastery of the Precursor St. John the Baptist in Potamos, while the translation from Georgian to modern Greek was done by the monk Malachias.
