The Viltrox AF 75mm f/1.2 XF is a lens for Fujifilm X cameras. It features a focal length of 75mm, making it suitable for portraits, long-distance shots, and generally for use in many types of photography.
Equipped with a maximum aperture of f/1.2, it offers excellent low-light shooting capability, creating a stunning blurred background (bokeh). With its large aperture, it is ideal for isolating your subject and creating impressive portraits.
Additionally, the Viltrox lens features automatic, fast, and accurate focusing (AF). This is particularly useful when photographing moving objects or demanding subjects that require quick focus response.
Finally, the AF 75mm f/1.2 XF lens is made from high-quality materials, offering excellent optical performance, as well as sharp, detailed images with high contrast and color accuracy.
The extremely large F1.2 aperture offers more possibilities in low-light shooting, with faster shutter speed and lower ISO.
With 16 lens elements in 11 groups, 4 high refractive index lenses, the image quality is unparalleled at maximum aperture and all details are immediately reflected in the image.
With higher shutter speed and lower ISO in low-light environments, it makes video shooting more creative and expressive.
The smart optical design of Vitrox features a higher level of high-definition nano-multi-coating, with every detail captured in detail. The suppression of chromatic aberration and APO-level dispersion is excellent.
The built-in STM motor provides the high driving force required for precise autofocus and tracking focus. It can also achieve fast, smooth, and silent autofocus and tracking in an extremely shallow depth of field.
It also supports eye autofocus, thus offering better response, lower latency, and reduced vibrations.
It features an 11-blade aperture with a range of f/1.2-f/16 and a minimum focusing distance of 88 centimeters. It accepts 77mm filters on its front part, and like all other lenses from the company, it has a USB-C port for firmware upgrades.

The lens is razor sharp. I use it on a Fujifilm XT-5. I researched a lot before settling on this one and I think I made the best choice I could make. Very bright, very sharp even at 1.2, nice contrast, and generally a very nice character for a lens. Aperture ring and with a little patience if you get used to how, since Fuji cameras have their own AF/MF button, the corresponding switch on the lens is unnecessary. Weather sealed!!! and firmware upgradable with USB type C.
Yes, there are 2 main negatives. First, it is heavy. It’s not easy for everyday use or for street photography (yes, a zoom lens is not advisable, but I really enjoyed it). Second and more importantly, FLARING. For me, this is not part of the character as some reviewers claim. In some cases, it’s just a bonus. You will struggle in certain specific lighting conditions.
Anyway, it is a serious tool for its price and for the build quality and the results you will get! Better than the mother company.
I use it on Fujifilm X-T5. Excellent choice, especially for its price. High image quality, bright, with good focus. If it were Fuji, it would cost double.
