Although the Pegasus Trail 5 was recently released, I bought the 4 at a very good price. I've only done two runs so far (in Alsos Veikou and Lykavittos), but it seems to meet my expectations for a shoe for mixed surfaces. Especially for someone like me who is not that dedicated to running and wants something versatile, it's a good solution. Suitable for those living in cities and running in parks and hills trying to avoid the road or add variety to their running. I haven't done 100% road running yet, but I think it will be just fine. Very good shock absorption without excessive thickness in the sole. It hugs the foot evenly without needing to be tightly laced. I didn't need to re-tie or tighten the laces during my runs. The left shoe hit my Achilles the first time, but it seems to be breaking in. Very good grip on any dry surface as well as on damp soil. On the other hand, it slips a lot on smooth wet surfaces. Whether it's wet rocks or sidewalk tiles after rain, caution is needed. In very "bumpy" or loose terrain, it's not the best choice in terms of stability, but it manages up to a point. The blue color I got wasn't my first choice, but as the days go by, I like it more. 4/5 because it really does what it promises (road and mild dirt), but it's risky on wet surfaces even in the city.
They are very high-quality shoes, comfortable for walking, have a sturdy sole, although they are a bit tight when you wear them, after a while you get used to it.
Very good shoe, I use it for running, I bought it in beige color and as expected the brown color from the mud and dirt road does not come off the shoe, just so you know.
I wouldn't say that these are shoes that inspire you to go for a run, more for walking, but they do have good breathability and provide a stable grip on the foot. In the first trimester, the construction and durability are satisfactory, I will come back in the sixth month
Another excellent sports shoe from Nike. Excellent grip of the outer sole on dirt, rocks, and asphalt/sidewalks. It hooks like it has a hook. Excellent midsole with react foam that absorbs the irregularities of the rocks and vibrations, resulting in your foot stepping smoothly and firmly anywhere. Perfect fit upper, very good grip and fastening, soft back with internal cushioning, ventilated front for the foot to breathe. I got it on sale for €95 and I would buy it again with my eyes closed. Finally, in my opinion, very beautiful appearance. 10/10 from me.
I bought the Nike React Pegasus Trail 4 for my trail running and I couldn't be more satisfied. The React technology offers exceptional cushioning support, while the Pegasus Trail outsole provides excellent grip on various terrains.
The comfortable upper of the shoe fits perfectly on the foot, providing stability without sacrificing comfort. The reinforced protective overlays on the sides protect against possible shocks and abrasions.
Having tested the shoes on both open and rough terrain, their performance exceeds every expectation. They are equally good for short runs as well as more demanding trails.
I bought them for cross training at the Olympic Stadium, which has both dirt and pavement, and also for hiking in the mountains during the summer. Very satisfied so far, very comfortable to wear, although I'm afraid they might slip quite a bit in wet conditions. If I change my mind, I will come back in the future.
Update: after 7 months of use, I continue to be very satisfied, they haven't suffered any damage, and I don't slip in wet conditions.
I got them with half a heart!!! But they deceived me, soft and easily, they don't have durability of course, after almost 9 months of light workouts and on relatively good terrain they have started to develop toe holes.
Amazing shock absorption throughout the length of the leg... However, after using it for 30 minutes, I experienced pain in the ankle, resulting in discomfort during use.
I am coming back after a long time regarding the issue with the ankle.
After about 2 months of frequent use, the structure changed and since then there is no pressure created at the point.
Lightweight running shoes for all surfaces, I would say, not just for trails. It absorbs shocks satisfactorily. It slightly slips on wet surfaces like sidewalks, like the majority of shoes, nothing extreme.
I haven't used them yet for running, but for walking a few times and they seemed quite comfortable. Now, when I start running in the mountains, then there will be a new evaluation.
I knew what I was getting since I also had the 3. The only downside is that I got hit badly in the back.
