The M18 FUEL plunge circular saw provides the power to cut at the same feed rate as an equivalent AC circular saw - with the ability to cut 45 meters of 18 mm plywood on a single 5.5 Ah battery charge. The depth adjustment has two scales, one for the rail and one for off-rail, which can be easily adjusted with the push of a button. Flat-sided guard, the blade is only 12 mm from the outer edge of the guard, allowing the saw to cut very close to a wall. This saw is also designed for optimal dust extraction on the job site, due to the enclosed guard. It is compatible with the DEK26 system and also comes with a dust bag. The scoring stop allows for a 1 mm back cut, minimizing chipping on laminated materials. The bevel adjustment has stops at 22.5°, 45°, and 48°. It also features a -1 for making a back cut.

The saw also features a cut line sight window on the side for cuts where the front of the blade needs to be visible on the material and also a spring-loaded riving knife. The easy blade change system locks the switch off and the blade in place while the blade can be changed. The retractable riving knife allows the knife to remain in place even when making plunge cuts.
