DDR4 XMP
AORUS offers a tested and proven platform that ensures proper compatibility with profiles up to 5333MHz and beyond. All users need to do to achieve this performance boost is to ensure that their memory module is capable of XMP and that the XMP function is enabled and activated on the other AORUS card.
Storage with RAID
The exclusive 3x PCIe 4.0 M.2 unit from CPU and 2nd generation SSD 7000 MB/s provides unparalleled read/write performance up to 21053 and 15499 MB/s.
GIGABYTE PerfDrive
The PerfDrive technology incorporates multiple exclusive GIGABYTE BIOS settings to allow users to easily balance between different levels of performance, power consumption, and temperature according to their needs when using Intel Core 13th generation processors.
Thermal Guard III
The M.2 Thermal Guard III is designed with an optimized 6X heat dissipation surface to prevent throttling and congestion that can be caused by high-speed/high-capacity PCIe 5.0 M.2 SSDs, especially under heavy workloads. The special design of the heatsink fins towards the CPU direction further enhances airflow within the chassis and optimizes heat dissipation efficiency.
Smart Fan 6
Smart Fan 6 contains several unique cooling features that ensure the gaming PC maintains its performance while staying cool and quiet. Multiple fan headers can support both PWM/DC fan and pump, and users can easily set each fan curve based on different temperature sensors across the system through an intuitive user interface.
Connectivity
2.5GbE LAN
The adoption of LAN 2.5G provides network connectivity up to 2.5GbE, with at least 2 times faster transfer speeds compared to general 1GbE networking, perfectly designed for gamers with an absolute online gaming experience.
Support for Ethernet RJ-45 Multi-Gig (10/100/1000/2500Mbps)
USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C
It features USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 design, which doubles the performance compared to the previous generation USB 3.2 Gen 2. It operates with ultra-fast data transfer speeds of up to 20 Gbps when connected to USB 3.2 compatible peripherals. Through the USB Type-C connection, users can enjoy the flexibility of reversible connectivity for quick access and storage of large volumes of data.

It is not the most value-for-money board with the z790 chipset, but it is quite stable. The only thing I can say is annoying is that the RAM slots did not recognize the RAM directly and I had to remove and insert them in other slots until the computer booted. Other than that, it's fine

And I also went for ddr4 because I already had ddr4 modules and for the cost/performance it wasn't worth going for ddr5. With 14600kf I didn't even try to boot, first I updated the bios to F9 version and then it booted normally into the PC bios, recognized everything + the SSD that had win10 installed before, and of course I added something "new" to the build, fans, usb, rgbs everything worked and was set up immediately from the bios, as well as from the corresponding software afterwards. With a 750w power supply, coil whine to hear it has to be midnight and no one should be awake in the house, in the M2 x4 main port (which is only 1, the other 3 ports are x3) the heatsink and thermal pads are super effective! Ok the rgb that the motherboard says it has is a bit (it lights up the bottom of the case a bit so if you have any accessories or something like watercooled to show off). Otherwise the ports, the Durability (yes with a capital D), the software, the O.C. abilities, and the number of front panel connections etc. it offers are un-be-lie-va-ble!
Yes, I didn't go for DDR5 because I already had 128GB DDR4 as a gift and the gain was only 10-15 frames, maybe 25 frames max in the future for 150 euros.... For my 13900K processor, it was PlugNPlay. It has enough ports for me and enough for SSDs (I have 4 nvme) and 1 hard drive. The price is fine. It sits in the case without any problems. The slots in the sockets are all classic except for the extra fans that they put all at the bottom..... kappa.... With the Corsair 1500 HX Platinum, I didn't have any coil whine or at least I don't hear it, nor with the Corsair 1000RXi (I went for a bigger one as you can understand because I put a 4090 and I say let's not burn any system!). Only one slot, the closest to the processor, is for a 5th generation graphics card, the others are only for 4th generation (not that they don't work, they just won't give the maximum performance of the card).
Overall, I recommend it and I have nothing else to say because it is a classic and efficient motherboard. However, I liked that the cover that goes on the back of the case covers the rear ports and fits perfectly with the case without struggling that it will be left naked or that the motherboard will be placed incorrectly in the case. As for OC, guys, I don't deal with the sport, but I saw that it has all the necessary options open, try it at your own risk. I just want to note that it only has 1 slot for 4th generation NVME with very good cooling, and the other three provide satisfactory temperatures and only work with speeds up to 3rd generation NVME.
