With a metal casing suitable for floors and tiles, I have used the 24 diameter ones on chairs, as well as the 20 diameter ones. The 28 diameter ones are suitable for tables, and I have also used them on sofas, but when we sat on them, they got pressed down a lot, with the risk of reaching the metal. I do not recommend them for sofas, neither for two-seaters nor three-seaters. Maybe they are borderline suitable for armchairs, but otherwise, they are of good quality compared to plastic ones. The metal ones appear to be much more durable. However, if you want to use them on sofas, you need to put 2 pieces on each leg for a two-seater, and 3 pieces on each leg for a three-seater. I'm coming back after two months, they have deformed because they are tall and spongy, they deform and become crooked, especially on chairs, on the front legs, but also on sofas. It is preferable to use those with a plastic base that is shorter and more compact. I had them for years and I replaced them with these ones with the metal rim, which are ultimately of very poor quality. If the object is moved, they do not work properly, and on top of that, they do not slide easily. I will not buy them again and I do not recommend them
